Worst Experience Ever!
I would NOT recommend anyone to reliant bank. The staff is full of empty promises and to top it all my agent was loud and rude. Nothing gets done on time. Please save yourself some disappointment and time.i would hate for anyone to go through this pain.

Excellent Personal Service And Lives Up To Ethical Claims
I took out an account with the Reliance Bank two years ago mainly for ethical considerations and have found it to offer me an excellent personal service both online and on the phone the staff are prompt and helpful. Only today I have made a payment online and it appeared on my statement within minutes. I cannot comment on the Bank prior to my switching account and the problems people may or may not have had then and would only comment that prior to it's name change it used to be the Salvation Army Bank and is not involved in the unethical and speculative investments that continue to pervade much of the banking system today. Inevitable due to it's Christian foundation and principles it would draw fire from those who reject such values.
It is of course not suitable for those that require over the counter service, but does issue a cheque book which not all banks do. You can pay in at any Lloyds Bank and the online security is excellent.
For an independent review then I suggest referring to 'The Guardian's' article of 26.10.13 'The ethical bank that offers salvation?' which can easily be found online.

Horrible Bank
I would never deal with this bank again. When I tried to get a loan I had to go in 4 times because they screwd up my paper work. The day that I went to close on my house guess what!! Paper work wasn't correct. Call and complain good luck with that. You get a big go eat a you know what. Try and pay the loan off early they won't tell you a pay off over the phone. Then instead of the amount being less which it should be due to interest that you shouldn't be paying by paying the loan off early they add all kinds of garbage. Never again!Any possitive review I can tell you is generated by the bank not an actual costomer.

Worst Bank To Be On This Earth.
Probably the worst bank I have ever been too. They would take far to long to even attend to me. They would also make it so that my money wouldn't be accessible until days later, EVEN THOUGH. They said it was ready immediately. I would sit in the drive through for 20 minutes before they would even look at me!! They also keep the microphones on when your in the drive through, and they listen to your conversations.... They confronted me about one I was having with me friends! Terrible service, terrible bank.
Worst Custmoer Service Ever=worst Bank Ever!
Don't open a business account at Reliance Bank. You will never be able to reach your loan officer and don't bother to leave a message because he will not call you back in a timely fashion or maybe not at all. Don't bother to make a deposit because they will hold it for at least seven days so they can collect the interest on it even though they have verified the funds are available. It doesn't matter if the check is drawn on a local title company or local bank. Due to the nature of my company, I work with several banks and title companies and have never seen anything like it. When explaining the issues we have had with this bank amongst other professionals, the question always comes up if they are working with banking regulations. Oh, and don't try to apply for a bond with your insurance company because you will be denied because Reliance Bank's rating is so low that the insurance company will not issue the bond if Reliance has your business bank account. We are pulling our account. At one time they employed ethical, hard working people. Now they employ people who do not understand small business needs and it's obvious that they don't care!
Horrible Arrogant - Dont Bother
a complete waste of time trying to open an account with this bank. very selective on who they want to give accounts to. stay away

An 'ethical' Bank They Are Not
Seems every business is jumping on the bandwagon that they are 'ethical' to show how caring they are. Load of B*&%$£"T. These are rude and think to highly of themselves. These are definitely not of any Christian ethics whatsoever. Having tried to recently open an online savings account which they only need a £1 to open with they decided to do a credit check on me and decided I was not good enough for them. I know I had fallen behind with some payments years ago which lowered my score, but I only wanted to open a savings account to save £10 per month NOT to borrow, mortgage or open a current a/c with them. Received snobby letter saying no. Decided to open up with ING Direct with no problems and now saving £10 a month with them. This 'Christian' bank is not what it says it is. Hideous and arrogant.

Great Bank. Ethical Way To Bank. Easy To Deal With
Great bank. Ethical way to bank. Easy to deal with and contact.
I would like to know which branch you deal with because the two that I have worked with were horrible.
I found this review very helpful because... It is accurate in my, and my client's experience and confirms my, and their, judgement.

Reliance Bank Is A Very Reliable And Ethical Bank
Reliance Bank is a very reliable and ethical bank to use - they give great PERSONAL customer service, and are also very prompt - it only took them 2 weeks to have my current account completely set up (including cheque book, visa debit card etc etc). They are owned by The Salvation Army, and all profits go to futher that organisations charitable works - instead of paying a fat cat his multi-million pound bonus!
I agree with Guest's response. Prompt, customer service, ethical???? Whaaat?
Nice is this from the reliance bank pamphlet also?
