Be Careful What You Spend Your Money On

I won a few lots in an online auction but many of them were delivered wrongly so I returned them and asked for a refund but after more than a year and many emails and time spent talking to no avail I ran out of items, and with the money taken.

Be careful with the auctioned lots, often the photos do not reflect their real condition, they may be very used or damaged, but nicely packaged, the description is useless, and you will not be compensated if you do not inspect the lots on the spot.

At the same time, you should know that the amount you bid is not the amount you will have to pay. To this is added the VAT, their commission and the VAT of their commission, making the final payment more often more than the value of the product.

Recently someone hacked my account, I suspected it was a technical issue or security breach so I asked for a password reset, but instead they restricted my account access, so be careful with them.

Do Not Buy From Wilsons Auction, Espically The "luxury Goods

Bought some items from Wilsons (Northern Ireland) in their "Luxury on line auction" NOTHING luxury about it. They show you a picture of a watch (just the face) and not the strap that is hanging off, dirty or torn. The back case is scratched. Heard that some of their items are NOT genuine.

So be VERY VERY careful of what you are buying from WILSON Auction on line.

They are a money grabbing company.

And as one of the other people who wrote about pre bidding and ghost bidders is true....they are forcing up the price of the items to make more money.

You have now been WARNED!!!!!!!

This Auction House Shill Bids In Favour Of Higher End Sales For Stocks.

This auction house shill bids in favour of higher end sales for stocks. This is a well know fact before they went online, if you pre bid this puts the prices way way up. Never pre bid always wait till the auction begins.

And whats more if another person has bidded before and the timer goes to zero this bidder has a sneaky way of bidding again and again even though you think you won this bidder can outbid you.

Be very aware that the shill bidding is not a customer but a few select members of staff who sit upstairs bidding based on previous amounts for stock and hitting it to this or above this to ensure they get constant value.

They are not allowed to speak regarding this or face nob loss and to be sued by wilsons.

Phantom Bidding

Online auction, all set for bidding, done my research, had my limit established etc

Auction day, as soon as i had placed a bid , BANG.....outbid again and again!!!

Didnt win the auction BUT...... auction relisted for auction within a few hours.

So,

Auction day, same as above, bid, get beat , repeat!

Didnt win the auction BUT...... auction relisted for auction within a few hours.

Wilsons Auctions are a gangster outfit, their employees fake and shill bids driving up prices, stay clear, pay a bit more and have comeback.

I reckon that I've seen this lately. Going to participate in a third machinery auction in a row and bid on the same items I "lost" twice and see what happens. Will report back.

Wilson’s Advertise Their Online Luxury Goods And J

Wilson’s advertise their online luxury goods and jewlery giving impression. They specialise in government lots , they might have the odd ones , but majority are from traders who giving their cheap and fake jewlery , wilson’s advertise the jewlery as genuine , and then when customers get it checked and in my case it was a fake Cartier bangle I paid 11k they said sold as seen , taking them court and trading standards dealing with issues of false advertising etc

Disgrace! Don’t Buy! You’ve Been Warned. Not Cars

Disgrace! Don’t buy! You’ve been warned.

Not cars just everything else! Staff drive top cars on low wages! Wonder why!

Staff bidding customers up is a regular thing. I’ve known about this. Usually if some say has £20 on an item and it’s at £10 the staff at Wilsons will bid it up to £18. The staff don’t get bid up, it’s just the customers.

Is it against the law? Someone bidding when they have no intention of buying?

Unbelievable. Very Scary

I went to buy a 2008 landrover freelander hse from the wilsons car auction queensferry deeside, i won the vehicle, paid for it in good faith, drove it out the gate bank rumble crunch click vibrate...rear diff well and truly gone, i was bouncing. back i went to the office and they said sold as seen. I said you didnt mention spares or repair, i could get one with the same issue for 1500 hundred on fb or ebay, This was 4.5k. I said what are you selling here scrap motors for top money prices, anyways got my money back, no problem. Looks on the site a week later, its back up for sale. They know about the massive expensive problem but no mention of it in the catalogue still cap at 4.5k. Be aware they are condoning the sale of unfit road worthyness vehicles and putting peoples lives in jeopardy. Wilsons of queensferry you know about that issue and your still selling it. shame on you

Something Seriously Wrong...

Yet again I have had another terrible experience with Wilsons Auctions. It was an electronics auction on the 6th Sept 21, which was timed, I placed my maximum bids early on four items, as the time counted down I was well in the lead and as they ended I was still in the lead with money in reserve, the items were all showing green as they ended, but when I came back later to pay for the items I had only got one of the four. So after my timer had finished someone else was still able to keep bidding!!!!

There is something very badly wrong and judging by the number of one stars there is a lot of people who agree with me.

Bought Several Cars From Wilson's Via Their Online

Bought several cars from Wilson's via their online auction in Dublin, Newcastle and Malkusk.I also bought some jewellery and an iPhone 7 as well as large quantities of cosmetics via the online auctions.

About 2.5 years ago I bought a Renault fluence online via their Dublin branch. The car looked lovely from the online photos but when I picked it up the side door had a large scratch on it and large scratches on the front and rear bumpers. Could do nothing as I didn't store the photos from the catalogue. It was there word against mine. Ps Wilson's charge u an extra 50 euros if you successfully bid online for a car.

About 1.5 years ago I bidded online for jewellery via Wilson's online auction. I won several lots. Travelled down to their Dublin office and was told the jewellery was located in their Belfast office and they would have it in the following day. When I said I can wait in Dublin overnight they changed their story and said my bids weren't accepted by the seller bar one bid. Ended up paying 30 euro plus with commission for a 9 caret second hand ring that I could have bought on eBay cheaper. The owners son was in the office and observe all that was going on and didn't even say hi or intervene. Staff in the Dublin office are very unprofessional and rude. Avoid like the plague!!!

Last year I bouught a Volkswagen Polo from Wilson's in Newcastle in England. After bringing it home and checking the mileage via the UK government MOT site I discovered a mileage discrepancy. Wilson's won't refund me and the UK Tradings standards Agency told me they could do nothing about it as Wilson's terms and conditions were so well drafted that it's the buyers responsibility to check the mileage themselves via Hpi sites prior to attending their auctions. Buyer be ware Advertised mileage on cars advertised for auctions on Wilson's auctions are not always accurate.

A few months ago I bought a Volkswagen Caddy online via their Dublin office but after paying them for the van plus the extra 50 euros for the comfort of bidding online. I discovered I was blocked from taking part in all their Irish and UK online auctions. I was originally approved to bid on all their online auctions by the staff in Belfast which I did regularly. I rang Dublin and they said I had to pay another bidding deposit to take part in Online UK auctions. In future I will buy my cars from elsewhere and will source UK cars via different UK sites. No loyality program for good customers.
