Own A 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 And I Do Not Like

Own a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 and I do not like the BT020 tires at all. The lack any mileage at all they last no longer than 3,000 to 4,000 miles on my bike terrible mileage on the road. The center tread flattens almost immediately and makes handling corners more difficult. I am going to try the Exedra Max see if they do any better, everyone in the cycle business I ask about tires always say Bridgestone are the worst which I have found out true to this point but will try the Exedra Max and see if a better tire I am getting tired of having to buy new tires every 3,000 miles which so far I have had to do with Bridgestone's.

Bang For The Buck

I've always been a fan of BT-021s which gave me great safety and confidence riding in POURING rain in Florida. Even riding the ton in the rain on I-4! Dumb, but I lived and won't be doing that again. I was hesitant about buying such an old tire that has been replaced by at least 2 new models. This new one is a Bridgestone Battle Axe BT-020 Still, it has so far (Approx 1k miles) done right by me. I hope I get near the tread life I got out of my 021s. I was looking for a new 023(?) for cheap and found this on clearance at a local shop(The Motorcycle Factory-Woodbridge, VA) for $77!!!!!! No doubt, I bought it thinking even if I hate it I can shred it and not feel too bad about it. It's given me a much better time than the Pirellis I just had on(Those were a gift, I'd never have bought a race-type tire). I'll be buying these again, for sure. I only gave 'em 4 stars because I haven't had enough time yet to truly give em a 5, which I will if they hold up for 10k miles.

I think I really need 2 new tyres ont he back of my car. It's getitng a bit silly now, the easily balanced lift off oversteer is a feature of the handling that made me buy the car. But now creeping around little mini-roundabouts trying to avoid frowns of other motorists whilst driving to work half asleep isn't fun.

Didn't Like These Tyres At All, Gave Me No Confide

Didn't like these tyres at all, gave me no confidence through corners at all, the rear tyre squared of after about 4-5000 miles and the front has really uneven wear. Fitted maxxis supermaxx much better tyre

Hi guys, I have a Triumph Sprint which had the BT020's fitted Factory! Great when new but now after 9000km, the front tyre is badly scolped and the rear is down to the wear markers in the centre! i ride to work every day and thats only 14kms and get some serious hills riding on the weekends! Previously had Bridgestone on 2000 Hayabusa and front tyres scolped as well

Can't Fault Them For Durability I Got Nearly 12k O

Can't fault them for durability I got nearly 12k out of the rear which is fantastic value for money. As for the front I've put 8k on one and its just starting to square off even though there's plenty of tread left, which is slightly disappointing as I've been running it at the recommended pressure. Could be that I just need to get off the a-roads onto the twisty stuff a bit more often!

These Tires On My Bike Are Now 3 Years Old With Al

These tires on my bike are now 3 years old with almost 11,000km on them and getting near end of life. If've found as these tires get older, they loose their grip and peformace suffers. Couple of points:

1. For durability, these are great tires. Not many 'sport bike' tires can last 10-12k kilometers.

2. The colder it gets, these tires suck, badly. I would recommend the BT020's only in warm weather climates. If you live anywhere when your mornings can be 35-40F (2-5C) or colder, the grip quality on these tires are terrible conmpared to others I've had.

3. The rear tire seems better designed than the front. I actually expect my front tire to wear out sooner than my rear - which is counter-intuitive to what one would expect.

4. Value for the money - they came on the bike but I wouldn't replace them even with freebies.

Living In The Channel Islands I Ride Daily To Work

Living in the Channel Islands I ride daily to work on bendy, greasy, slippery roads. So far the tyres have proved to be very reliable. Winter is still to come though, so watch this space!

When They're On The Wear Limit Mark Get Them Repla

When they're on the wear limit mark get them replaced, they become dangerous at high corner speeds.

Good wear too, 2700 miles.
