Citroen C1 Hdi 1.4 Turbo Diesel

Based on the popular 1.0 Petrol C1 / Aygo. The 1.4 Turbo Diesel uses the ford fiesta 1.4 tdci engine less the intercooler. Power is only 55bhp but it has 130nm of Tourque. Very nippy around town but loves to cruise at 70mph doing just 2500 rpm! Cheap to serive as it shares all the parts the c1 and aygo does. Space for 4 people only no middle seat belt. Boot is fab for 4 bags of shopping. Has a proper spare tyre not those inflation kits or skinny no good get you home tyres. Insurance group 1! My best advise to enjoy this car is to fit the best quality tyres possible as the handling and grip with budget or mid range priced tyres can be skittish. 4 new Yokohoma tyres cost £156 so in fairness you can afford to fit premium tyres. I am getting 70-75mpg and i drive in the early hours of the morning when there is nominal traffic on the road. When i did a run to Portsmouth and back to Nottingham - driving flat out to get there and back quickly - i still skimmed a little over 60mpg! Tax is £20/year and at MOT time its always the same brake pads getting low - so get them changed every year for £30 ha! Stereo is only 2 speaker which is fine for you and front passenger. No good for prams, better when the child is walking and in a car seat. They did cost a £1000 more than the petrol equivalent - which is why not many were sold. Out of interest you can run it on clean or filtered used veg oil - mixed with 10% petrol to fine it out to a diesel consistency. Top tip here is to put a bottle of injector cleaner into every tank full. Great car, mega reliable and fun to drive. Superb low end and torque to about 4000rpm (waste of time reving to the 5000 rpm red line as it just feels flat and noisey between 4000-5000rpm) Please citroen bring out a turbo diesel in the new shape C1 - you will sell plenty instantly if they can do 90mpg.........

Tank of fuel 37 litres = 520 miles with is 63mpg from keen driving last couple of weeks
