Citroen C3 1.4 HDi Desire

OK let,s get this straight it may not win a beauty contest and it may not win a race against a mini cooper,but for sheer cheap fun and frugal motoring it it is a surefire winner,just £20 a year to tax with a regular 60 to the gallon + seating for 5 adults air con and cd player etc . Its a fantastic car for the teenager my 17 year old daughter loves it ,great to drive £1500 a year fully comp insurance in her name! ,tax for less than a round of drinks and economy to die for.Its now done 75000 miles with few issues a lower crank pulley started rattling £36 to fix and the injector seals have gone once, indicated by a loud chuffing from under the bonnet a fiddly pig of a job but only £6 if you can fix it yourself. overall a little cracker for the money.

After twenty years of buying cars with better reputations for build quality than Citroen, I am delighted with this cheap little car. It has been more reliable than any VW, BMW, Volvo, Toyota or Mercedes that I or any of my relatives have owned.

I wanted the cheapest possible car for a very long daily commute, and was prepared to put up with a few shortcomings in exchange - and this car actually has fewer problems than anything else I have owned.

I wouldnt recommend a Citroen C3 to anyone, having bought a 53reg in sept of 2003 and having so many faults with the car and very bad after sales service I am now selling my Citroen C3 as I have had enough of faults and unreliablity.
