My Citroen C3 Car Was Delivered With Paint Imperfe
My Citroen C3 car was delivered with paint imperfections that meant three weeks after getting my car - I was supplied with a motorised tin can with washing machine buttons (Nissan Micra!!) whilst they repainted my door! Nice quality control at the Citroen factory! Then after 14000 miles my alternator failed...now at 18000 (10 months old) my power steering has failed! This is a fault Citroen are apparently aware of (the RAC who provide Citroen Assist rescue cover) are certainly aware of it. It seems though Citroen do not deem this to be a dangerous fault... I disagree as mine failed in the middle of a busy roundabout and the momentary loss of control almost caused a nasty collision with a very large truck - an accident that was only avoided by the skilful driving of the truck driver... get your act together Citroen! Also, the dealer who quite happily sold me my car - CD Bramhall in Mansfield - did after my car was towed into the garage by the RAC as a recovery follwoing the alternator incident, leave it sitting there for 2 days before even lifting the bonnet. They then left me for 2 further days without a vehicle as they and Citroen said that the alternator shouldn't fail after such a short period...tell me something I don't know!!! Outstanding customer service.
I read your review. My Citroen C3 power steering has just gone after 40000 miles. I think this is ridiculously early. Did Citroen reimburse you?
UPDATE - I've now had to pay £123 to get the brakes stripped and cleaned because they were caked with dust and the rear brakes were binding. Not bad considering it isn't a year old yet.
