I Have Driven Citroen For More Than 10 Years From

I have driven citroen for more than 10 years from Xantia, the first C5, and the current new C5; first C5 was bad with gear jerking and was persuaded over the newer version where they claimed much improved over pedecssor; but new problem exist; the engine tend to cut-off when moving slowing . Also when press of accelerator , there is a delay before 'picking up' making driving very stressful and dangerous; worst of all, the appointed agent always unable to solve the problem during the period of warranty, but surely can do a better job when warranty period is over; for my case now, I have to pay problems existed less than one year in the warranty period.

Other problem also posed great dangers to other motorists is that the acceleration can be sudden without pressing on the accelerator pedal.

All these events were duly recorded by Cycle and Carriage, an agent in Singapore that handles Citroen.

I hope the Citroen France can do something.

I Bought The Car As Used 2 Years Old One With 35k

I bought the car as used 2 years old one with 35k on the clock. It is a vary spacious car so 5 people can travel comfortably. The money for the set up does not seem big as you will get 16 in alloys and spear wheel is full size alloy as well. Car looks good, mile per gallons is 30-32 on average so is not too bad. If you get nice example you can expect working horse from this everyday runner. Mechanics seems OK as I did not have to do anything in last 3 years. Electrics bit rubbish with 'immobiliser fault ' from time to time. BAD POINTS BELOW:

Having Citroen C5 for 3 years I can identify two areas which are faulty.First it is Citroen electronics, bulbs going off, faulty immobilizer, being sensitive to rain. This is annoying as you expect everything to be working properly in car which is 2-5 years old. How is that with other makes I do not know. Another faulty area in what I think all citroens is Customer Service or rather complete lack of it. Example: I serviced my car in Kingston Lovekyn and 2 hours after I left it in the garage I received a call that car had been smashed in the garage as one of their 'number one' stuff let it on gear and switched the engine on. What a professionals! They had to exchange whole front panel with headlights and I had to still pay 400 for the 'number one service'. Since then I visited Citroen service once more and they managed to break fuel gauge while doing MOT. As a result I do not do any service at Citroen and I believe my car only benefits from that.
