The Mkii Ford Focus Saloon Is A Marmite Car, You E
The MkII Ford Focus Saloon is a marmite car, you either love or hate the saloon for its shape. But often £500 cheaper than the equivalent hatch when second hand, it has its appeal. The boot is also considerably bigger than the hatch with the seats up and the parcel shelf in place, which makes it more useable than you would first think. OK it lacks the overall versatility of the hatch but don't discount it. Roadmanners are the same as the hatch, with handling that many far more expensive manufacturer's still struggle to match. In Titanium or Ghia trim its a well appointed and nice place to be. Low ownership costs and excellent reliabillity make it still a no brainer. Tyre choice is with the focus is limited with many cheaper or budget brands resulting in excessive road noise feedback into the cabin. Our car is fitted with the selectronic automatic, in drive, as a full auto its fine but used as a manual its hopeless. Its only here in the transmission that the car falls down. Other than that, after two years of ownership and faultless reliabillity, I would throughly reccommend one.
