Brilliant Wee Car
I have owned my Kia Cee'd 1.6 Ecodynamics Diesel model (2011 reg) for just over a year now, and despite a few very minor problems (mainly the previous owner hadn't took the car in for the recalls KIA made), it has not let me down and considering it is now a 5 year old car, that's good going. The only slight problem is the fact the place it had to go for to get the recall parts replaced is 15 miles away, as it is still under warranty. I guess more a slight annoyance than anything else.
The only thing that prevents it from a full 5 stars, is if it does go over certain bumps (and we all know how bad the UK's roads can be), you WILL feel it.
Other than that, it's been brilliant, and dare I say it, even better than the VW Golf Mk IV I owned, which had reverse gear problems, no central locking (and the lock broke after a cold morning, costing, at the time, £60 to replace myself) and then a whole load of failures towards the end of getting rid of it. Considering VW have been around much longer than KIA, and the fact KIA has made leaps and bounds over the past few years in terms of quality, that's saying a lot.

Kia Care-3 Plus Prepaid Servicing Warning
If you are a low mileage driver, say around 6 to 8 thousand miles annually, do not take out prepaid servicing. The reason for this is that the oil and filter does not get changed on the first service thus saving Kia a lot of money for the oil, filter and labour. If you do over 11 thousand miles before the first service you do get the oil and filter changed. So those who do the low mileage are still paying the same as the higher mileage drivers but are getting less for there money. The fact is that low mileage drivers are being penalized for using their cars less. In the past with a new car, it was a well known fact that the engine oil needed to be changed after only 500 miles. This was done to remove any possible particles which were still in the engine system after manufacture. And after that the oil and filter were changed on the annual service irrespective of mileage. Now days it appears that car company's want your car to wear out quicker. I know oil is supposed to last longer, but 20 thousand miles between changes is pushing it a bit too far. To make things a lot fairer, there should be a discount on these service plans for low mileage drivers, but as usual, cars company's like to rip you off as much as they can get away with.

Kia Ceed Sw 1.6 Crdi 113bhp
Bought from dealership in Bath - 09 plate.
After collecting and 20min down M4 it started vibrating from the front wheels and got progressively worse. Braked and veered off to one side badly. Bearing failure at 36500 miles. Repaired under garages warranty.
Found that because the service warranty book was not fully stamped up this voided my KIA 7 year warranty (reason for buying)and no 10 yr anti corrosion warranty.
(Sold to me as having this!).
3 weeks after getting vehicle back after best part of a month off the road being repaired I discovered that there was rust starting near the seals on both rear doors. Taken back by dealership and full refund promised.
Positives - This car was a really nice car to drive - very practical with plenty of space for a small family, felt solid on the road. The engine was 113 bhp Diesel and performed excellently. Good mileage returns and quite nippy. However, without the warranty and the issues that it developed after just 2 years it put significant doubts to the build quality and KIA's claims. The Ceed Sw could be a superb motor with the addition of a little bit better quality control.

Bought A My Ceed 1 Year Ago With 7900 Miles On The
Bought a my ceed 1 year ago with 7900 miles on the clock from Arnold Clark in Cumbernauld, had a wobble on the brakes when i got it, got assured it was rust on the brake disc`s, had my car in 4 times now (once for it`s first m.o.t) every time they couldn`t find anything wrong now 1 year on and with 12000 miles on the clock been told finally by Arnold Clark that i need all the brakes done and 4 brake discs (because they are all warped) but aren`t covered by warranty even though i`m a very easy driver who just likes to get from A to B in 1 piece, but after 4100 miles after loads of complaints i`m now being told to cough up even though i was sold a faulty car in the first place

Bought The New Face Lift Kia Brand New From Milton
Bought the new face lift Kia brand new from Milton Keynes Kia May 2010.
While it doesn't do the stated mileage, It's still fantastic value for money. It's a good drive the diesel engine is responsive and the drive is comfortable and handling very good. At present day fuel prices, I feel I made a good choice.
Except a lttle squeak from suspension whenever the car goes up and down, I have no complaints. I would recommend Kia to any small family 3-4 any day.

I Bought A Kia Ceed 1.6 Ls Limited Edition From Ne
I bought a kia ceed 1.6 LS limited edition from new I have not had any problems with the car except losing the little plastic clips that fit on the roof for which you remove to fit the roof racks it is always the same one. I have bought two now and when i rang Kia motors there customer services advisor was ignorant, rude and not really bothered.
I spoke to the manager and they will not let me have a replacement as they say it is not a warranty problem .
I think that they will try to get out of any warranty claim so the seven yr warranty will be a waste of time

I Was Lucky Enough To Get A Pre-registered Kia Cee
I was lucky enough to get a pre-registered Kia Ceed 1.6 petrol S for £8995. The book price for this car with metallic paint is about £12,000. I have driven Focus's, Astras and golfs and believe this is every bit as good. The 7 year warranty as well as the price made this choice a no brainer.

The Seven Year Full Warranty On The Kia Cee'd Was
The seven year full warranty on the Kia cee'd was the final deal clincher over the rival cars such as the Ford Focus and Citroen C4.
That car is also a pleasure to drive with the 113 hp diesel engine, which only comes in the top LS Spec in the UK.
