Kia Cee`d VR7

Took delivery on my birthday - the 11th of April. First impression was positive.Handles well,smooth gear change,good interior finish.This could be a very good car in it`s class but I have two reservations. I did remark to the salesman that I couldn`t see the digital display in the centre of the speedometer (odo).The car was outside on the forecourt and it was a bright sunny day.Since that day I still find the display difficult to see even on a dull day.At night I can see the display easily but the illumination is set to maximum.I don`t think a red led against a black background is the best choice for this display and maybe Kia have missed a trick and should use mobile phone display type technology,after all people send/read texts whether the sun is shining or not. I have also noticed that the boot can be difficult to reach when open.I am 5`10" so above average and can just about reach when I want to close it.A short person will either have to carry a step-ladder in the boot or have to ask some one to close it for them. I have taken it back to the dealer to see if the display can be measured to see if it is within spec but all I got was that all ceeds are like this.Not a good answer.
