Living With A 206diesel
I've had my 206diesel since December 05 when i bought the car it had 15500 miles its now covered 48000 I've changed the oil every 6000 and filters as an when. Had exaust an bracks disks done an cam belt at 41000 with power steering belt. Last year had new shocker bearing. But the power steering scweals when cold on full lock. But not a bad car all round touch wood for a low mileage car. But build quality is poor 7 out off 10.

Best Little Cars Ive Ever Driven.
My mrs bought her 206 2.0 hdi some years ago, whereas i was and still am into things fast and low,but over the years ive driven the 206 and can not fault it in any way,so much so that i bought my sister one for a present.
I have the mrs 206 now that she has moved on and got a new car,i use it as my daily smoker, its fantasticaly reliable and i have hammered the guts out of it.
Its better on fuel at speed than it is chugging along, never broke down once,30 quid a year to tax, plenty of space ,what more can you want??
I have every intention of stripping my one, caging it,turning up the power by 50 bhp and taking it out to the nurburgring.
As cars go the little 206 2.0 hdi is a world beater.
I throw what i can at it and it just looks back and says is that all youve got!!!!
But i would say get some slightly wider wheels to cut down on the body roll as looking at the tarmac when cornering can be daunting!!!
I have 205 GTi 15

This Car Is My First Car That Is Mine. And I Have
this car is my first car that is mine. and i have absolutely no problems with it. when i bought it, it had done 101,000 so there was the inevitable problem, the fuel regulator was bust. this was to be expected tbh and the garage i bought it off did a good job in fixing it. i have now done 104,001 miles and the car is amazing to drive, the high levels of torque are great but the BHP is a little tow for a 2.0 TD, but this is a standoff of power and economy, and economy won... i have had 600 miles out of a full tank, with only 200 of those being motorway, the rest driving like the 18 yr old lad i am on some winding country lanes. overall i would recommend the peugeot 206 2.0 HDI to anybody who wants a small, economic car.

Test Drove A Peugeot 206 2.0 Hdi Turbod. What Can
Test Drove a Peugeot 206 2.0 HDI TurboD. what can i say! its awful.
Heres why:
1. - Build quality is poor, i tried moving the seat forward and it jammed in place!! the salesman was aplologysing for it!!
2. No Room in the back!
3. For a 2.0 TurboD ENGINE! that only makes 90bhp is pathetic... its very bad. a 1.2 corsa makes more bhp than this thing. it isnt fast at all. its nippy 2000rpm-3200rpm and thats it! no pull whatsoever after..
4. The gear ratios are far to long.
5. Dont get alot of equipment
Overall i hated it, would preffer to walk than drive this

Part exchanged a V reg 1.8 litre petrol 306 for the 206 what a big mistake sorry huge massive mistake. It's to hard riding, 2nd gear is way to long theres no feeling in the steering or the brakes. to be honest i DONT FEEL SAFE driving this car and would have to 306 back in a heartbeat the 10 year old car did everything better than this 5 year old one.
To put it simply "206 better off as scrap!"

I agree,i intend on putting an extra 50 horses in my 206 smoker and ragging it around the nurburgring!!
I took my evo 6 rsii out the 4 years ago and got 4 laps,56 miles in total of the nurburgring to a tank of juice so i wonder what ill get out of the 206,lol!!!!
This 206 will be a pile of rust before i get rid of it,its amazing!!!

A great "wee car" but for a diesel (2.0 hdi) its bad on fuel, I did a "brim to brim" the other day and with easy town driving I get 35 to the gal which is hellish. Its just been serviced eg plugs ect ect the only thing I can think of (and probably wont help) is cleaning the maf.

Peugeot 206 2.0 HDi 90. Great styling, very good looking car.
Great torque, my cars normally struggle to pick up much speed up hill, but this car as no trouble.
Fuel economy is great and so is the £35 road tax.
This is my 3rd Pug after a 205gti and a 306.
Not disappointed with the car at all, Peugeot still make great cars.
Heater controls are a little dated but that's not really a bad point.
Clutch tends to be high takes a little getting used to.
