Rover 75 1.8 T Club Se Saloon

My rover 75 is a 2002 on a 02 plate. This is my first rover 75 and cost me £1300 a year ago. I really love this car,a lot of luxury for little money. When you think BMW had a lot to do with it's production. The only thing i would complain about is the amount of problems i have had with it ie

1. Air bag fault. this was the air bag ECU replaced now OK.

2. Front suspension spring snapped while parked up.Lucky was not driving it at the time!!!

3. Car at this moment in garage for head gasket. This is a common problem on the K series engine.

I have so far spent over £1500 on repairs???

Would i buy another one? yes but only the 2.0 or the 2.5 V6 versions.

My First Rover At Age Of 53.

Hit hard times recently , so i thought what would give me comfort and good reliability performance wise for a price around £1,200, researched the net, signs of BMW where there!! the rover 75, i started looking through the ad sales, and went hunting, i found a silver 2002 2.0 rover club diesel, two owners full service history even the original shop price when brought from rover £15.000 and all mots etc etc etc, first impressions retro car.

Anyway condition A1 exterior, A1 interior, and what comfort... Is this a retired persons car,,, WHO CARES ITS A SMALL JAGUAR,,,,the engine has done 118.000 miles and pers like it is new, had last full service at 114.00 miles so so quiet,i cant fault the car, such luxury for little money, love the interior, and have thought perhaps this may become a classic one day, i think BMW did well shame rover isn't here now to continue building these cars,My opinion if your after a bargain at cheap price ROVER 75 diesel 2.0 cant fault it!!!!!

Great Car- Conn Tourer Diesel

Have done 50k miles in this car and now at 155k miles still drives superbly and copes with terrible island roads and a huge amount of abuse. Only problem water in the plenum, which the owners club forum resolved quickly- must make sure this is kept clear of water as will affect ecu. My only gripe- and I seem to be the only one with this problem- leather seats are too squashy and incredibly uncomfortable for long drives. trim over door threshold falls off too but its no big deal. Will buy another one if and when this one finally expires.

52 Tourer Conn

I have had 4 Rover 75`s in the past 6 years, I first brought a British Racing Green W reg Club, got it off ebay, went to Shopshire to pick it up not knowing what I had brought, when I sore it I was gobbed smacked it was wonderful, I had it about 6 months, I loved it so much I sold it and brought a B R G 2.0 Diesel on a 51 plate, this was the best one, then surcomstances dictated that I get a Tour (Est), reluctantlt sold that and brought a Silve 2.5 Tour Conn SE this was on a 51 plate, it developed a electrical fault and the battery kept disscharging. Ended up selling that one at a knock down price and brought the one I have now, a Royal Blue 2.0 V6 Conn Tourer, this one is on a 52 plate and has done less that 9,000 miles a year and immaculate, I gave £1,600 for it and have spent around £2,000 on it with new cam belt, service, brakes and new remote gear cables. I think that is dedication when you spend more on the car that it is worth should you sell it. I love it, she now drives like a dream.

No where can you get more luxuary motoring at such a good price, and it is British Built

Shes A Beautiful Drive Very Comfortable But With Problems.

We bought our rover 75,7 years ago, the beautiful sleek silver dream machine. No problem driving for 5 or 6 months until fuel pump went which is located under the rear passenger seat which was hard to get at and expensive to replace. Followed by 2 years later head gasket problem and then again 2 years later by head gasket again. She still looks a beautiful car parked outside the front of our house but is not worth getting fixed again.

Rover 75 Connoisseur/zt Look Alike

What can i say, i have been looking for a 75 for ages. But i always liked the look of the ZT. Finally i found a connoisseur with a ZT bumper/grill/spoiler/wheels.ALL the luxury of a connoisseur, with the sporty look of the ZT.What a fantastic car.I bought it with full service history, all the old mot's and bills.Had the dreaded headgasket done last year at a cost of £600 plus pounds with all the odds and sods thrown in.I LOVE IT, i have had jags that did not drive as nicely.Only down side is that the windscreen washers have stopped squirting, pump is going but no water, but i suspect it to be an easy fix.Can any body tell me where to get a spare key made,(keyfob with integral key)i would be very gratefull.Whats not to like about this great piece of English history.

Diagnostic For Rover 75

I like my Rover 75 diesel estate its big and very comfortable and you get great miles to gallon nice car. I am having a problem finding out why she dosent start sometimes. The garage said it need new glow-plugs maybe it dose but it still dose it when engine is hot. I think it might be electrical cause when I turn my ignition on if I dont here the pumps I no its not going to start, if I lift the bonnet and give the pumpa a we shake the pumps come on. I know the pumps are working good when I am driving I can get 4500 rev easy. Dose any one knows the best diagnostic tool for a Rover 75 diesel BMW Engine 2002 reg

I Bought A Club 2.5 75 When They First Came Out.

I bought a Club 2.5 75 when they first came out. It was the best car I have ever had. It had a manual gear box and was as smooth as silk. It even had syncro so you could shift into reverse gear while moving forward at low speed! When I sold it (what was I thinking) and bought a new Jag S type the Rover was by far the better car. After searching for about 6 months, I have just bought a 2002 and can't wait to get behind the wheel. Heaps of extras for the money, style, class and will alway be a classic so I will keep it for ever.

I've Had My Rover 75 Since 2007 - A 2litre Cdti.

I've had my Rover 75 since 2007 - a 2litre CDTi.

Its a 2003 model, bought it secondhand for a reasonable price with 55k on the clock.

I know nothing about car maintenance so i've had it regularly serviced at every 6000 miles by a competent garage. Servicing pricing has been nothing above normal and I've had to spend about £500 over the 4 years i've had it on parts (normal wear and tear)

It's now got 123K on the clock, is running absolutley perfectly, does about 50 miles to the gallon on a decent run, is a pleasure to drive and the engine is purring like a pussycat.

Why did Rover ever let the Chinese steal this car? Best motor they ever produced by a country mile!
