Ultra smooth "Hybrid Synergy Drive" gearbox eliminates gear changes and any bucking at low speed. Unfortunately the brakes are not as smooth when coming to a complete stop, in my car at least, which is the main con to me. This car is awkward and wimpy looking to me but has very acceptable dynamics and performance in my experience. Strong traction control requires caution when pulling out at gravelly or leafy junctions else you may be t-boned.

Interior does not give me a headache like I get in some european and american models possibly due to less emmisions of damaging chemicals inside the cabin. Steering and pedals are wonderfully light. Low costs for fuel, tax, insurance, servicing. Congratulations to toyota on the Prius - latin for FUTURE (car) which is the best description for it.
