Toyota Yaris Hybrid

I was a little unsure about getting this car after reading the reviews in the motor press, but I'm glad I did. It's a beautifully smooth drive that makes the daily commute a joy. I drive it in Ecomode so the motors automatically balance between electric and petrol, and I was surprised at how often I drive just on electric power.

The auto reviewers wrote about a whine from the engine when on the motorway, but I've not noticed this at all.

It's packed with useful features such as the rear view camera which automatically engages when put in reverse.

The graphic readout of the current mpg (frequently in excess of 75mpg, even on the motorway) enables me to drive at the most fuel economic rate.

My only gripe, and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is the rather plasticky finish on the interior. A bit more styling there would make it perfect.
