An Absoulute Nightmare, What A Waste Of Money. In
an absoulute nightmare, what a waste of money. in the sort 12 months of ownership ive had to spend over 3k on repairs for parts that should have double the life span. At 40k miles the clutch mass flywheel and release bearings went, 50k miles shockers, bearings, bushes, alternator, track-rod-ends and strutes just to name but a few. on contacting vauxhalls help and customer satisfaction team the help i recieved was as much use as the car none" "DONT EVER BUY ONE YOU MAY AS WELL PUT A MATCH TO YOUR MONEY"

Comfortable, Practical, Not Bad To Drive And Has E
Comfortable, practical, not bad to drive and has enough go when you need it on the motorway and for over-taking. I'm quite tall and still have pleanty of room. I use it as my daily run around and occasionally to carry equipment to smaller gigs when I can't really justify running my 3.5 ton van (I'm a sound engineer).
Had one problem. The egr valve failed in the open position which resulted in the air intake becoming clogged up, which in turn caused a gradual but severe loss of power and an expensive (£800) trip to my local garage (much cheaper than taking it to Vauxhall). Although it is 5 years old and I would expect things to start going wrong with it, I've marked it down for reliability as apparently this is a common problem.
I bought it 2nd hand 2 years ago (05 plate) with approx 50 000 miles on the clock. It now has just under 70 000 and this is the only problem I've had in the time that I've owned it.
All in all not a bad car to live with despite the bad reviews. I've had worse over the years.
The long and short of it is that I would recommend it to a friend if asked.

The Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 Cdti 120 Design 5dr Is A F
The Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi 120 Design 5dr is a fantastic drive when the car is working but Vauxhall have replaced the gear box three times so i am now on my forth gear box along with radiator changes etc. Vauxhaull appear unable to correct this fault.
They say that there is no underlying problem, the car is out of warrenty at the end of january and the gearbox problem is not solved to my satisfaction.

My Vauxhall Vectra Develops Faults With Control Pa
My Vauxhall Vectra develops faults with control panel on steering wheel including horn. Another fault is the floating flywheel.
If I could have test driven this car for twenty four hours I would never have bought it.

Vauxhall's Do Some Good Deals, Got My Current Excl
Vauxhall's do some good deals, got my current Exclusive 19CDTI model for just about £12.500. Some creature comforts like 6 CD Player, Driving Lights, Large Alloys, Cruise, AC. Huge boot, and little places for holding things. Servicing was cheap for the first 20.000 mile service, friendly attentin from the garage too. No complaints. Hope yours is as trouble free as mine is. Why do Vectra's get poor press?

My Vauxhall Vectra 120 Is Only 18 Months Old And D
My Vauxhall Vectra 120 is only 18 months old and done 60,000 miles and I've had 7 EGR valves replaced. 3 crankshaft pulley replaced. I wouldn't recomend buying one unless you like spending time at your local Vauxhall dealership!
Test driven an 06 Vectra 120 today. Seems like a nice car ....... until you put your foot down in 3rd gear. Revs nicely through to the red line in 1st and 2nd but try and do the same in third and it just loses power at about 3,700rpm and spanner light comes on. It then drives and accelerates like a 3 cylinder Corsa (I know I used to own one). Stop and turn off ignition and problem disappears until same revs in 3rd. Glad I wasn't overtaking on the motorway!
