Great To Own

had my tdi 150 for 4 years now 3 door in silver with sunroof and climatronic.2004 53 plate but still in great condition its never let me down and goes any where.vw had it for a year then a lady for 7 and a half years then me.a set of glow plugs and a tempature sender and a alternator pulley replaced because it was starting to get a bit noisey otherwise not spent a penny on it been a great car and when the time comes will be very sad to see it go.the next car I get will have a lot to live up to.bought on 72 k now on 108k and seems to go better with age these 150s really do go well not as refined as the 140 mk5 but more fun to drive in my opinion.heared a lot of scare stories about cams turbos and clutches etc but buy a good one and it will last many years and you will get 50 mpg all day long and cheaper tax job is a good un.

Dont Hesitate To Buy A Good Gt Tdi 150. Best Car Iv Owned

I have brought a cracking gold gt 150 and drives like a train the shear torque and power from a 1.9 deisel is increadible. I driven some high powered motors and this car makes me smile just as much.

full leather recaro, gun metal grey, big 18in wheels the car is the best iv owned. 110 mph in fourth gear now thats impressive for a deisel and gets there in no time.

Best Car I Have Owned

Bought this car from one owner a lady, i was shocked on how quick if was for a diesel. The car was chipped to 200 Bhp from 150. I think 150 is enough power.

Driving this car was so smooth and comfortable no squeaks or rattles.

The engine pulls like a tank through all gears and response is instant when accelerating.

The mileage is now 155,000 and the fuel consumption is fantastic. I have not done a check to what miles to the gallon it does, only know that just putting a tenner in last me three to four days driving around town.

Exterior has a rear roof spoiler not all models have this and the paintwork is in bright tornado red that gleams after a good polish of autoglym wax.

The interior is nicely styled with black a red recaro seats it has electric windows, heated mirrors and a sunroof which is a bonus. The red and blue dash lights stand out which is a + from VW

Just an all round solid built reliable car.

I think i will still own this car in 4 years time with how good it is better than my other car an Audi A5.

Great Set Of Wheels

This car has been very reliable from day one and has never failed to start. The economy is amazing for a 150 hp turbo diesel engine. It does 55mpg+ on my occasional trips from Cornwall to London averaging 70 to 80mph. On a 10 mile journey, driven carefully, I once managed 80mpg. This compares very well with my 2 litre ZX Citroen which would only do about 30mpg. Strangely, the economy has improved since I first bought the car (at 10k miles) and has now improved by about 1.5 mpg at 50k.

The hill climbing is particularly good and there are not many cars that can stay with it. Similarly there are not many cars that can beat it off the lights. The performance can seem a little stodgy when driven at modest speeds but impresses passengers when the engine gets turning. I don't know if this is unusual but my fully comp insurance is only £221/year so the car isn't considered dodgy by the insurance agents.

The car is reasonably comfortable for long journeys and I never get out feeling relieved that the journey is over. Being a 5 door I find it very practical and the folding seats let me get tricky objects in, but it wont take big objects, like fridges etc, without leaving the tailgate open. The only disappointing part is the servicing from the local VW garage. I don't know if they are just dim or dishonest but they are certainly expensive.

The bodywork has stayed good with no signs of rust.

This car might not be everyones cup of tea but I think it's one of the best cars that I have ever had and I have been driving for 47 years, so I've had a few.

I Have Always Been A Golf Gti Guy But Decided To T

I have always been a Golf GTI guy but decided to test a mint 150 GT TDI in Red to see what all the fuss was about, and was i not impressed!!. I loved the car so much i bought it straight away and drove home in it that day! Its such a joy to drive, all that torque is just on tap for when you want to use it to overtake, the interior is typically German and beautifully made, though a golf is quite bland inside mine has wooden steering wheel and inserts and colour coded Heated Recaros in Red. I just love my car and it still turns heads after all this time, and at every VW service the staff always want to know when i will sell it!,not for awhile yet, there is 100K on it now and it still drives like a dream. Even better than my partners new S3!!!

Ive Only Had This Vehicle A Short While But What A

Ive only had this vehicle a short while but what a car!

The interior is just so solid, well built & you instantly know your in a bit of quality engineering.

The massive power the engine produces gives you acceleration in most gears at most speeds when the engines past 1800 revs.

Im still loving every second beind the wheel & cant stop smiling every time that turbo kicks in.

All this & capable of 55+ mpg if driven frugily.

Mines 7 yrs old but looks & drives like new.

My advice, if your thinking of getting one, is do it.

I Have A Gti 150 Pd Exclusive, Which I Bought Off

I have a GTI 150 PD Exclusive, which I bought off my father last year, it's been a great car, being the exclusive it has full cream leather which is heated, headlight washers, multi function steering wheel, VW Sat Nav which not only displays on the main unit but displays and replicates onto the main centre display on the clocks, many only have the half display but mine has the full display and it's a god send, it's only done 67k with a full main dealer history so is still a spring chicken really. The only thing i've had done was a remap which cost £300 and included a Dyno print off. It now has 194bhp instead of the standard 150bhp and the extra power is so addictive people are just staggered by it's performance especially when I say the car is totally standard apart from the remap and that it's a DIESEL !. It drives like it's on rails and has totally exceeded all my expectations.

May sell it soon though and i know i'll regret it.

Didn't Like Golfs As The Interior Is Very Bland Th

Didn't like Golfs as the interior is very bland then someone said look at the 150 diesel I did took it for a test drive and the rest as they say is history. Be careful very careful in the wet or snow the front end jumps away from you with all the torque that is available, 50+ at 80 on motorways about 500 to the tank got the car with 45000 on it may be selling within the week and it will have done 115000, a few bits and pieces needed doing like the front wheel bearings had 3 front lights as they kept getting broken so fixed plastic protectors, one major gripe is changing light bulbs at the front if you have big hands forget it, All i can say if if you want a fast golf and cannot afford the newer ones get one of these and you will not be disappointed brings the grin factor back to driving.

The Golf 150 Diesel Is A Cracking Car That I Have

The golf 150 diesel is a cracking car that I have owned since new without a single failure. The 6 speed box is great but also necessary as the range in the low gears is short. The car is a highly practical small family car with isofix for the kids seats and a split rear folding seat. It is a testament to the quality that while I have replaced my other car twice while I have kept my Golf. In fact I have a dilemma. At 8 years old I feel that it is time to finally replace the car and having tried the current model 140 and I prefer my trusty mk 4. In my opinion, and perhaps with the exception of the early GTis the mark 4 150 is all the Golf you will ever need.
