Mercedes Benz V-class 2.3 V220 Cdi Ambiente And I Have
a problem with the central lock it is not working properly it tries to open them or close them you can hear the noise of the motor central lock but they are not functioning,and now I can`t open the diesel door because there is no way to open it.Is there somebody can help me please?

this is one of the nicest vans i have driven. Haveing said that i had a 20 year old VW carravelle which had less problems than this one did in the 2 yrs i owned it . Paid 500 quid for the vw & 5000 for the merc hmm .
I just had the radiator replaced because of a crack in the expansion tank , which really should be 2 units but oh no if 1 goes you need to buy both . Oh and got the van back from MERCEDES and the radiator was 4 LITRES short of being topped up . Well as if that doesnt give me every faith in main dealerships . If think i realy shuold have stuck with a vw . They have known how to produce a nice people carrier/camper for over half a century

There is no headlight height adjuster on my v class. I think this is because the air suspension system is ment to keep v class level. So there is no need for adjuster. My v class had spring conversion when I got it, so can't compare. But back end is high and headlight beam seems to fall short on the road. I'm thinking of changing it back to how it's ment to be.
I found this review very helpful because...When i spoke to them they knew what they where talking about and i am very pleased with the converison kit they fitted. WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

After Having A Zafira For 5 Years We Needed A Full
after having a zafira for 5 years we needed a full size 7 seater so bought our v230. certainly not a great choice. i would agree with nearly all other comments that it is a great vehicle to drive it is really comfortable to ride in and cruises well. seats are comfy and and plenty of room and lots of extras on ours. the cruise control is good, air con, traction control etc.
but the car is so unreliable, unless you are a mechanic it is so expensive to run. it seems that every few weeks we have something with ours. gearbox sensor, driveshaft changed because of faulty abs sensor. cant read miles because bulb gone, brake pipes all corroded. air suspension is a joke. we changed a valve in 7/08 , now a bill for £ 1,000 to replace the suspension compressor and valve again. Is it worth it? the electronics are a nuisance especially when that dreaded limp home mode comes on because a fault has occured! so then it crawls around as it is stuck in 3rd gear. other faults idle switch return spring, some electronic codes local merc dealer couldnt find. still got vehicle but will sell as it is a millstone on your wallet.

Enjoyed driving round in this and sitting in the back at the seaside with my children around the table with a big bag 'o chips and a cuppa..luxury!
(somtimes we would eat more healty food like olives with humous and cous cous, etc.)
The fuel doen't go a long way ...about 20 MPG...the electrics have been a little tempremental...but, realisticaly, it is 12 years old now!
Love blacked out rear windows too.
Would have Liked to know about fuel cost before I bought it I would reccomend a diesel version if available...but wouldn't be as smooth a drive though. Have felt like a rich dude in this car...A bit embarressing somtimes too. when your quite poor.

paid £12.000 in july 2007 for an year 02 model of the mercedes benz v-class. thought the world of it .because it was so spacious with 7 soild proper leather seats and ample leg room and still big booth area.comfortable to drive and good for long distance.
previous to buying this car ,i was warn not to because of the eletronic suspension . needless to say it happened to me a year later .the suspension fail and the car back droped. you cannot drive the car it just bounces all the way ,like being on a pro bull rodeo especially over road humps. and wih any weight in it , it touches the ground . my local garage say its very expensive to fix by a mercedes company. poss; £2000.
amigo, comprei um carro novo igual igual ao seu em 2002, que ainda tenho até hoje. Tive e tenho problemas na suspensão traseira desde o momento em que a viatura saiu do stand a viatura parece realmente um touro ou uma cadeira desequilibrada nunca sei o que vai acontecer , já gastei muito dinheiro e coloquei a mercedes em tribunal, mas perdi, os representantes da mercedes disseram na altura que a viatura era assim mesmo e que eu tinha sido enganado pelos vendedores da mercedes.
o seu problema pode ser de defeito ou avaria do equipamento ou mesmo da estrutura, que acredito é o meu caso, pois já troquei tudo o que havia para trocar várias vezes.
diga-me como ficou o seu problema
