I Used To Own An Audi 80 2.0e And Then Bought The
I used to own an Audi 80 2.0e and then bought the Audi 80 coupe V6 2.6e and what a nice car it is too!! I have never tried to see what the fuel consumption is but it seems to be good, a bit juicy around town but on a run it is as good as the Audi 80 2.0e and is a lot more powerful. I have 156,000 on the clock and there is plenty of life left in her yet and I would not get rid of her. Lovely piece of German engineering.
I totally agree my 2.6e 1993 model drives like a dream having only done 136Th the engine purse and drives regulary from Yorkshier to Deveon every other weekend. Fuel economy is also very good on long runs. Driving my BMW 2007 320i is nice but if I get the choice its the Audi I would choose to drive.

just purchased audi coupe 8v 1995 with 50k miles these were the golden years for car production-quality materials used throughout it feels like a well screwed together panzer, galvanised bodywork ,running gear that feels over engineered.puts a smile on my face every time i drive it. buy low mileage with history now while there cheap cos with those classic lines they can only become more sought after

High torque, good looks, comfort, stability, this car is the best!!
Cheap to maintain, the parts are not so expensive and many parts come from Audi 80 or Audi 80 kabrio. I like this car a lot.

I Have Owned Several Audis To Date And Have Owned
I have owned several Audis to date and have owned several models of the Audi B3-4 Coupe. The V6 version is no flying machine, however, the V6 2.6 is a strong engine giving smooth effortles performance. The car is very heavy meaning that it needs the V6 power plant to make it feel anywhere near the car it was designed to be, any smaller 4 cylinder engined versions should be avoided, including the 16V. The car really comes into its own when cruising, it is quiet and comfortable and does have decent pick-up once in motion. The time to 60 is slow compared to todays offerings but performance 60-100 is very respectable making high speed overtaking a pleasure. If its a true sports car you want then the Audi Coupe should be avoided, however if its a grand tourer that is comfortable, now, cheep to own, and solid build quality you want then this could be the car for you.
I have just bought an Audi Coupe 2.6 e V6, its a lovely drive the car is well built good handling and is just hungry for more. I would recommend anyone to buy this car

I Managed To Find A 1995 Audi Coupe 2.6e Auto Spor
I managed to find a 1995 Audi Coupe 2.6E auto sports car with Full leather interior, all 4 electric windows, electric sunroof, fuel computer (These options alone added £7000 to the original purchase price).
IT was and is a good looking car and due to their small numbers it will look good parked next to much much newer more expensive cars.
There's no adjustment to the steering wheel though so either you fit in it or you don't. And it's not worth being uncomfortable.
This car is really a grand tourer and not a sports car as the 2.6 litre V6 only puts out 150Hp and 0-60 is around 9.5 seconds. Once moving it's better and it will get up and boogie from 70-120mph quite quickly but in the real world you will soon realise that you may as well take your time and let others see and admire your car as they pass you!
Fuel economy is around 24mpg which wouldn't be bad if it was a fire breathing monster but it isn't.
The auto gearbox makes a big difference to this car, if you want to comfortably cruise from Newcastle to London then this car is fine, don't get me wrong I loved this car. The looks, the originality but I cannot recommend it with the automatic gearbox, chose a manual over this anyday!
Hello Chum,
Just a few points to make about your review. I have a 1995 coupe 2.6e and she returns 32 mpg which is well above your figure. This may be down to the fact that mine is a manual and yours is the auto gearbox. Also I attended the VW Audi show in Ipswich on the weekend of the 7-8th May and ran my car down the quarter mile and my 0-60 mph time was 8.1 seconds and the full quater mile in 16.4 seconds which was showing up VW golf GTI's! Think you may have been a bit harsh on the old girl.
I appreciate a quality car which it is except for the lacklustre performance from this particular engine/gearbox combination which lets the whole package down.
Obviously doesnt appreciate a Quality car. Should have bought a noisy harsh riding traffic light dragster with an italian driving position thats impossible to drive out of town.
