Overall a great car, plenty of extras on the GT model which takes some beating to match for the money.

Honda Civic Type-r 2.0 Is Very Fast, But Not So Go

Honda Civic Type-R 2.0 is very fast, but not so good on reliability. But it is the fastest. It does 0-120km in 7.3 seconds and the engine is loud and leanburn, but doesn't eat petrol. It doesn break down easily though and it can be hard to control. My speakers have broken and the headlights have cracked.

This Car Lives Up To R For Racing...so It Aint The

This car lives up to R for racing...so it aint the quickest hot hatch but i bet no other hot hatch can go in and out of corners like the Honda Civic type R... get this car up over 5800rpm and hold onto your hat... as this car flies. It loves to be driven with a heavy right foot. I agree with the review before, you must invest in the GT version. I did and I so glad I did. Another good point to add is Honda don't pull your pants down when it comes to servicing... Honda happiness costs just £500 and that covers your next 5 services ( Go ask for that at BMW, VW or Audi ). This car is an amazing piece of kit. Go treat yourself to a head turning, stomach crunching car... Just bear this thought in mind.... NO REPORTED FAULTS WORLD WIDE ON THE VTEC ENGINE.... hmmmm food for thought, as too is the fact no cam belt as its chain

Don't Buy The Standard Honda Civic Type-r, You Mus

Don't buy the standard Honda Civic Type-R, you must buy the GT. The extra cash is well worth the extra kit. The optional 19" Rage alloys are an extra grand but are similar to that of the new 911 turbo, they look fantastic. The sat nav and bluetooth option is £1400 and also worth it. Mine cost me just over £21k but I test drove the new Audi S3 and the Golf R32, both were much more expensive and the R was the more enjoyable car to drive and offered up more thrills expected of a hot hatch+ with the wheels it looks better. The gearbox in a car of this price has a feel of ingrained machined excellence and you won't find a better one in cars twice the price! Simply, Honda haven't won the power race, the s3 was quicker to 60 (0.9 seconds) but 6k more expensive. I guess they didn't want to...Honda have developed a car not just much better than the last Type R but with the extras above, better than anything else! You know it won't break and you know it's desirable, so residuals are excellent over 3 years. My last point is this...I traded my s2000 in to get the Type R as I needed more practicality. The fact that I don't miss the s2 one bit has been the biggest compliment I can give Honda...they've turned a nice hatchback into a true day to day performance car. But one ...I promise you, that if you buy one, you will be thrilled you did!
