I Was Reading The Guy's Post About His 1995 Gsx At
I was reading the guy's post about his 1995 GSX at around 210hp? Something is wrong here because I have a 95 GST and stock it rolled out at 270hp and with the GReddy new Turbo, Blow off valve, top of the line chrome, huge cold air intake, Blitz Boost controller and an aftermarket Boost gauge mounted, of course, on my driver's inside post, and I was told by a fellow owner who also owns and runs an aftermarket shop that 310-315hp is being slightly conservative. He has a GSX and all wheel drive versions make more sense to bump up as much hp as possible, but this 300hp+ version has shocked me and even scared the hell out of me when I first drove it and stepped down about 50% throttle. This is the first car I can honestly say would have given my 500+hp 67 GTO a run in the 1/8 mile, at least. Biggest complaint? I just can't get used to that whistle of the blow off valve. It even happens when I drive like the little old man I am quickly becoming. I rarely 'get into it', but everything I have read says this 6 bolt engine is truly bullet proof. Only problem I've had was while setting the Boost control I got a bit to much into it and sounded like I blew the lid off something under the hood with a quick, single puff of white steam/condensation-like you see coming out both sides of the car in the beginning of 2Fast2Furious. Sure that was for effect. Mine was simply the vacuum hose blew off at the 'T' leading from the hose in engine compartment to the gauge inside. The gauge stopped working and I lost about 90hp. Panic at first, then found this, hooked it back up and everything back to normal-I actually accidentally smoked the tires in the first 3 gears pulling out of the uphill parking lot, so I am guessing ALL of the horsepower is back. I hear no noises, it runs fine. My biggest problem is adjusting the boost gauge. If anyone has any suggestions how to easier, please let me know.
I have an older Blitz with a mode and a LOW and a HIGH button that both can be popped out, adjusted from 0-100%, then pushed in. I', running mostly LOW boost set at 50-75% and the HIGH at 50% or less, rarely ever turned on. DOES THIS SOUND ABOUT RIGHT? I'M NOT RACING IT. I did have a BUILT Honda Civic Turbo'ed. etc. pull next on the HWY at 55mph and challenge, then jetted off. I simple stepped on the throttle, with PLENTY LEFT, and in 3rd gear and not only caught him but blew by well over 1/8 mile, then had to shift to 4th and tap, tap the brakes so I didn't get locked up. I WENT FROM 55 TO 88MPH IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE IN ONE GEAR! I can't think of a better car for the money I have in this beast!
To the 1995 GSX owner. I recommend you check your manual since it should read at least 270hp bone stock with the T3 Turbo (?). Mine currently is only the next aftermarket step up but boy the difference.
Everyone is correct. These parts I speak of are NOT CHEAP!
Thanks, and hope everyone has the great Mitsubishi experience I am having. I was told to avoid NON-TURBOS SINCE THEY HAVE ENGINE PROBLEMS. APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK SINCE I AM NEW TO TURBOCHARGED SMALL ENGINES. Mine is headed to body for body kit restoration and new paint and new color!

What is the best way to remove the Transmission from a 1993 Mitsibishi Eclipse GSX. Where can I get a repair manual for it?

I honestly love my 97 GSx eclipse this car is unbelivable! Currently running a JDM swap with a 16g evo 3 turbo. 18 Custom TSW wheels with falken rubber aftermarket clutch and short throw shifter. to be honestthsi car is pretty amazing very fast as in 188mph ive gotten this beat upto racing an M3 which i had no issue i'd say mainly due to the awd and turbo as well as the swapped engine so i have no govener. dont get me wrong i dont bag on my car often but when i do i feel like nothing can touch me this car is deffinat value for its money i would recommend this car to anyone. just a heads up very important for maintenance though so you dont run into issues because this car can get pricey to fix if u break something other than that fast car cheap on gas and insurance isn't unreasonable!!!

Mitsubishi Eclipse Sports Cars Have Very Strong Mo
Mitsubishi Eclipse sports cars have very strong motors, I recommend getting a 6 bolt motor and putting 2g pistons on it. This is a great build and supports a lot of horsepower at a cheap price.

I Would Not Trade My Mitsubishi Eclipse For Any Th
I would not trade my Mitsubishi Eclipse for any thing, and I suggest that you try and get one if you do not have one. Aftermarket products are through the roof for the eclipse cars. I only have a thermal exhaust no cat. KandN turbo filter. Skunk 2 short shifter. Greedy front mount intercooler. Greedy blow-off. 18in rims, with low pros raptors. Black with grey inter. I will put more when I have more money course. The eclipse GSX is fun to dive and it will be sure to turn heads. Get one and never let if go.

Overall, The Showroom Price For The Mitsubishi Ecl
Overall, the showroom price for the Mitsubishi Eclipse is a bit much, but overall I think the price is well worth the car. Another thing is that the 95-99 eclipse is a great car and the motor does just fine. Like any other car, keep with with the maintenance and keep the boost reasonable, it's a car the you will love! Its fast, easy to get more power out of and most of all, it's a really fun car to drive. Trust no stock 4 cylinder will match it.

I Started With A Bone Stock And I Put About $25000
I started with a bone stock and I put about $25000 total on the car but it has 612hp at the wheels and 630fpt and 24psi. I race cars for a living and I also have a Supra with 765hp and I like to drive the Mitsubishi Eclipse better.

I Own A 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gst And I Am Nothi
I own a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST and I am nothing but pleased with it. I bought it off a guy on AutoTrader, I bought it and it stalled on me a few times and turns out it needed a new ECU. But after I had that replaced its been NOTHING but fun ever since! I put on a Stillen Hi-Flow filter and Espelir JTG500 3" catback exhaust on it, so far. My Greddy Blow-off Valve is already on its way. After that, definitely a Boost Controller. But seriously, this car is a must have, I have dusted the highly overrated Mustangs time and time again, never lost a race. If you like a fast car with great looks, reliability and easy to upgrade the horsepower, this is a must have! Keep everything maintained like oil changes and this baby will keep ya happy a very long time.

I've Owned My 97 Eclipse Gsx For About 2 Years And
I've owned my 97 Eclipse GSX for about 2 years and it's given me nothing but happiness. I have a few upgrades but my shortage of money won't let me get any more for right now. The car has 72K on it and is jet black. Stick, of course. Upgrades are limited to aftermarket black ADR Battle EXE rims, HKS SSQV Blow Off Valve, catback "upswept" exhaust, 1600 watt Rockford Fosgate stereo system, and custom blue backlit gauges.
