Awww, What A Beauty. I`ve Done Everything Myself E
awww, what a beauty. I`ve done everything myself except the custom build body kit... but I know the motor already as the palm of my hand and boy, it`s a pleasure working on those things. It`s a mean machine and what a beast! My 200sx is now 19 years old, and not a day old problem found, except for the lot of power it produced and stripped my 2nd and 3rd gear!! It`s value for maoney

I've Had My Nissan Rs13 200sx For 7 Years And Nev
I've had my Nissan RS13 200sx for 7 years and never had any major issues with it until something got inside the engine after some maintenance and that was at nearly 130k miles! I've heard the horror stories about the big-ends etc, a specialist told me to never take it past 6500rpm on the standard crank and it would be fine, seems he was right! If you have an S13 I think it really is a case of look after it and it will look after U! Change the oil every 2500 miles and use ONLY high quality fully synthetic oil and you shouldn't have too many probs.

I Liked It! I Wanted It! I Bought It! Problem Is T
I liked it! I wanted it! I bought it! Problem is the car at the moment isn ' t producing power AT ALL! I don ' t know if its not mapped on the bigger turbo or if its because the bearings is starting to clucking but it isn ' t a bearing knock, not yet that is. And people don ' t want to dyno because of the bearing.

I Started Off With A Kia Pride Then My Focus Tdci
I started off with a Kia Pride then my Focus tdci sport and 2 weeks ago i bought a 92 Nissan 200sx for £500. It is in mint condition, runs well looks great, sounds better than my neighbours scooby (maybe)! The power quality, with my mates driving prelude 2.2's, Audi 2.8 v6's, zs 2.5 v6's etc a needed something faster, and defenetly found it! Have drove all of the above and would never compare! Only bad thing is there's a leak coming in my boot which I can't find, been told either lights or seals.

I've Had My S13 For 4 Years - It Has 137,000 Miles
I've had my S13 for 4 years - it has 137,000 miles on the clock but I now have a problem with it - it starts 1st time but after it has been driving smoothly for approximately 20 minutes with no loss of power the engine then starts to run lumpy and tickover is lumpy - there is no loss of power, no smoke coming out of the exhaust and I'm not loosing water or burning oil - I've already changed the spark plugs and am going to change fuel filter - can anybody please help diagnose what the problem could be?
try new coil pack pull of 1 at a time when misfire starts to find out which 1 makes no differance to engine r p m then change that 1 if not that possible sticking hydraulic lifter.

The Nissan 200 Sx Turbo S13 Is For Those Of You Wh
The Nissan 200 SX Turbo S13 is for those of you who want a fast car for not a lot of money. Mine was £1350 about 9 months ago with 89,000 miles. For that price the turbo had been replaced and the car was tuned to stage one (approx 200bhp). I bought the car with the knowledge I was only going to do low mileage in it. This is because the big end bearings on these cars tend to wear out between 90 000 and 130 000 so be careful!
The ride is very comfortable, and the steering is very quick, the car turns into corners well. However I am always a little concerned when it comes to corners because it doesn't take much to slide the back out, it doesn't feel quite as planted as my old primera was. Be careful though and you will be rewarded.
Before this car car I had been used to FF cars which tend to wear the front tyres out quickly. This FR car however really does go through the rear tyres although fronts seem to wear well. Oil changes need to be done every 3000 miles which can get expensive if you do high mileage.
I'd look out for rust under the rear arches, sills and under the spoiler, which whilst not catastrophic will spread.
To get an absolutely mint model I'd expect to pay around £2500, for that I'd want no rust, a reconditioned engine and turbo. Also you would expect some modifications (there are very few unmodified examples, although they are generally well done performance mods rather than garish boy racer mods) to the power output.
For a more basic example expect to pay upwards of £1000 and for that you should get a car with only a few minor problems which will need addressing in the near future.
Overall I'm happy with the car, I love the way it looks although it could do with some bigger wheels and lowering. Also the fact the engine has not long to go is a concern, but this was only ever meant as a car for a short period of time. The acceleration is awesome and puts any, and I do mean any hot hatch to (shame).
Q&A
I had a Nissan SX 200 Turbo 1993, 37,000 miles, £1700 spent in last year on brakes, welding and new tyres(4) underseal. The car was stolen and torched. Avviva insurance offering £640 before excess.
Is their an appeal process?
