The Nissan Skyline Gtr Twin Turbo R33 Is Very Fast
The Nissan Skyline GTR Twin Turbo R33 is very fast, dependable car, the design is second none , how many cars can take from 280 hp stock to 400 stock with a couple minor mods. key word gents is MINOR mods meaning your wallet wont feel impact unless u punch the gas!. I love my skyline (GTR not to be confused with the N/A skyline) The 4 wd takes away errors of a poor manual driver which I guess some may see as a good thing so I guess I can't say I really have any complaints

The Skyline Is A Work Of Art. Not Only Is The Gtr
The Skyline is a work of art. Not only is the GTR a beautiful machine, it is also extremely capable. A bit of clever wizardry and a seemingly limitless potential for more power make it an absolute dream to drive fast. Get this machine on the Nurburgring and you can forget your 10 minute Clarkson lap, think more 8 minutes (My current aim) - thats an average of almost exactly 100mph... To date I have averaged 93Mph round the whole 13.3 miles and 74 bend.

The Nissan Skyline Gtr Twin Turbo R33 Is A Nice Ca
The Nissan Skyline GTR Twin Turbo R33 is a nice car, and very very fast. It can do a top speed of 250MPH with 1600BHP if tuned right. Look at the new Proto R35 skyline, which is out in 2007.

I've Had A Nissan Skyline Gtr Twin Turbo R34 For A
I've had a Nissan Skyline Gtr Twin Turbo R34 for about 18 months. It cost me over £50k brand new but I love it. I've added BBS 18s, a Nismo bodykit, G-Max coilovers, Powerflow dual exit exhaust, HKS billet crank and rods, HKS oil pump, HKS pistons, a fuel pressure regulator, 2x 2.2 bar HKS turbines, HKS uprated intercooler, Blitz dump valves, Blitz cam pulleys, Twin Power ignition amp, Custom exhaust manifold, Nismo cam belt and head gasket, an EVC 5 boost controller and a direct port Wizards of NOS 150bhp nitrous kit. There is more coming too including more cosmetic stuff like a carbon bonnet and Lambo doors.

About 3 Months Ago I Took Delivery Of A Accident D
About 3 months ago I took delivery of a accident damaged GT-R R33. With donor parts from a R33 GTS25t we had a complete road car back together.
Prime time to modify...
We grabbed a thickwall RB30ET block and a JUN stroker kit and bumped the capacity up to 3239cc and a new redline of 7800rpm.
Donked in was a Hollinger 6-speed and JUN high torque transfer case + uprated wet mutltiplate clutches for a snappier launch.
Under the hood we sneaked two hybrid T4 turbochargers (should be total of ~900hp), a custom stainless steel intake plenum on top of the factory six throttle bodies. HKS 252 cams reground to something more like 254/266 with an asymetrical shape (my tuner used this trick on my old GTS-t, gets boost on early and smoothes idle). A'PEXi drag intercooler, HKS drag pod.
Suspension recieved koni dampers and nismo sports springs, rims are stock R34 type.
otherwise in factory trim.
Reccently both front and rear diffs are down to 3.200 from 3.454 to open up a 185mph top speed.
Hiya mate.
First off let me commend you on a really good detailed write up. Myself, brother and Dad were reading this. We import from Japan, and take about eight or nine cars a year. We also tune them, this is taken care of by myself and brother.
When we Visited VeilSide in 01 we got on the case for the single turbo RB26 combo as being in our opinion and Veilside's as the quickest cheapest route to take for 1000+BHP (and why are many people on here laughing at these figures?) given UK supplyers ect. I'm sure your aware of thier 1200BHP twin turbo R34 but Skyline tuning is a dark art and they were saying nothing regarding thier R34!.
We see regular, govourned by the owners wallet of course, 7 to 900BHP results quickly on the single turbo'd RB26.
I would be really interested to chat to you about the twin turbo issue. You see we came across multiple problems tuning this combo on the RB26 engine out of the R34, we never could quite reach the 600+ BHP mark, due to head work and cam's with a fully blue printed engine and exstensive ECU mapping ect being to powerfull for them, they would over heat, splutter, crack, Wastegate problems came daily, they ran out of puff, they came in late, early and in all generally made a meal of each other! uncontrol-able boost rising and falling, head gaskets, new blocks the works! it just was not happening!
I was getting over boosting problems from day one after any stage of head tune, the emergency boost controll was not figuring things out quickly enough, Link and Motech systems were terrible. It was pinking even with 700cc injectors on maximum duty cycle, retarding and advancing the timing added piston slap, why? we don't know. It was an utterly dire engine to tune. This happend with over seven engines. If we left the head work, cam, and didn't blue print the bottom end it was fine up untill about 550-560BHP. The head showed massive gains! we are talking 50+ BHP from a stage one flow, no matching of ports, just a flow. We machines out to the plenum/throttle bodies within Nissan Tolerence's and the same to the turbo manifold and this showed another ready 62 BHP, on an NA engine! that's some improvement! We have modified engines for over 8 years, helped with the Modeo Zetech BTCC engine and even got a few look ins for the Super 1600 Ford KA's, so we know enough I would say, but we are stumped!
Anyway your twin turbo engine seems to be coming on fine. We, as you can relate to I'm sure are a bit baffled, and I just wrote out 200 words about how evil the twin turbo engine is (oops! if you read it no offense intended) so any words would be gratfully recieved.
Matt
A 2600 litre taken out to 3239 thats going some then to run at close to 2 bar thats one hell of a head gasket you have
your car sounds preety awesome.....tell me when your selling it
Why the Hollinger and Jun upgrades? Why are they better? For drag racing I assume. For a road race application, assuming 800+ hp, which is better?
r34's are too heavy to be a 9 second car...you should either lighten the 34 as much as possible with extensive carbon fiber or build up the 32 as your dragger instead b/c the 32 is the lightest of the gtr's from '89-'01
