The Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 Car Is Frankly Amazing

The Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 car is frankly amazing and how it went un-noticed for so long is some what strange to be honest its the badge that stops this car from being a recognised great, for its age it was faster than the cosworth sierra of the same era quite something for rover to have achieved and because of the badge its a perfect car for today easily matching modern day turbos and in straight lines beating most.Inside information from within longbridge suggested that without the engine limited the car would have achieved 250-300 BHP but the pistons gear box and almost all the other components could not withstand such punishment so 200 BHP was decided on which is good for 0-60 in 6.2 and a top speed of 152 MPH and thats a fast car for little money!

I Bought A Mint Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 For Just &p

I bought a mint Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 for just £850. It needed a good wash and polish on the out and inside. The only fault was the petrol flap was missing, bought a 2nd hand one for £5, bought the spray for £5 and got a professional to spray it. After I cleaned up the car, I then only drove it for 3 days and sold it for £1500. The buyer said it's the cleanest he has ever seen. A nice £750 profit in four days. The car itself is not slow but like all turbos, until the turbo kicks in, it's not quick, but once it does, the car flies! 200bhp in a Rover is quick as they are not heavy solid cars. It pulled a lot to the left on acceleration, handling was rubbish. It's quicker than a Honda Civic type or Seat Leon Cupra 180 Astra Coupe Turbogsi 0-60: 6.6sec and top speed 150mph. I bought the tomcat to make a profit and wouldn't own one as there is no quality or real comfort. I own an Audi a3 1.8 Quattro Turbo 180bhp remapped to 210bhp, which is more fun to drive and in a different league to the Tomcat, but in terms of hardcore performance and value for money there ain't many other 200bhp cars out there. Vauxhall Calibra Turbo or Cavalier Turbo are better built but you will pay more.

My Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 1.6 Sohc Would Hit High

My Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 1.6 sohc would hit high speeds with a K&N air filter and back box. And at 17 whilst being your first car is pretty quick. Very cheap to run (1.6). Very fast for engine size. Looks ok T-bar.

The Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 Is A Wolf In Sheeps Clo

The Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 is a wolf in sheeps clothing. People often see the Rover badge and decide to tempt fate. But with 200bhp disguised. The free-revving engine leaves them for dust.

Maintenance is essential as is regular oil changes using fully synthetic oil. But look after it, and it will look after you.

The Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 Is By Far One Of The Fa

The Rover Coupe Turbo 2000 is by far one of the fastest cars on the road. Jeremy Clarkson rates this as his 14th worst car (the sun newspaper 05/2004). I can only think that he means for the power available the handeling in standard form means you have to be very careful applying presure to the throttle. For the money its a perfomance bargin. especially if up grade the ECU (quite easily done), you can get 225 BHP with out any further mods to the engine. this makes the 0-60 time sub 6 sec's.

How do you get 225 BHP out of the rover coupe? Can you help me?
