Not The Most Sophisticated Estate Car In The World
Not the most sophisticated estate car in the world, but offers excellent reliability at a competitive price. The automatic gear box is weak, but coupled to a great engine and a fantastic AWD system which offer tonnes of grip you soon forget about it. In the snow and rain this car performs just as well as in the dry. Interior quality isn't very good; plastics are cheap and cloth trim doesn't scream quality, but it's very hardwearing and easy to clean. Spares are readily available via the Subaru main dealers but are expensive.
Overall a great car, particularly considering relatively low second hand prices and excellent reliability.

I Bought An Imported Subaru Off Of Ebay Not Long A
I bought an imported subaru off of ebay not long ago, it is the twin turbo auto model, it produces 290bhp. it has loads of power and it is so easy to drive, it has so much grip thanks to its amazing 4wd system. they are very rare in this country so it is a real head turner, it always makes me smile knowing that i can experience the noise and speed of this thing. my rating is 11/10.

Probably The Worst Car I Have Ever Owned. Every Si
Probably the worst car I have ever owned. Every six months something major went wrong; alternator broke down on Christmas eve at 4.30pm car was fully packed to go on holiday and spend Christmas with family. Then the radiator cracked, then the gear box blew to bits. Repairs were expensive.
Fuel economy non existant.
Good points were it handled well and stuck to the road but relability was very poor.

Only Got The Subaru Legacy 2.0 Turbo For Shifting
Only got the Subaru Legacy 2.0 Turbo for shifting stuff from my house renovation, but was so impressed that I have now had it two years. A few bits of rust coming through though, but not much can catch it. 0 - 60 under 6 secs (uprated boost 290bhp). Will keep a steady 145mph down the Autobahn hour after hour with more left.

These Subaru Legacy 2.0 Turbo, 4x4, Gl Estate Spor
These Subaru Legacy 2.0 Turbo, 4X4, GL Estate Sports Cars are hard to find the spec of. I am guessing that they are in the region of 220 bhp. stick that trough 4wd and I will never know how someone in a pug could possibly call these slow. 0-60 of 6.5 seconds..... where is that pug... oh yeah in the rear view mirror. Off turbo they chug around town nicely. Flat out, first went too fast, 70 in second, 100 in third (thats less than 13 seconds). Mine runs on that expensive unleaded, but it does 30 if driven normally or 18 if you hammer it occasionaly. Corners very well at above normal driving speeds but is not a hot hatch catcher down the back lanes... not to worry, find a straight bit and fly past them!
Paid 1k for this machine, and other than buying a super car, there is no better vehicle for performance available for that price. xr2/3i, pugs, rs turbos... your over a second behind 0-60, if you dont spin the wheels!
The Legacy standard is 139bhp per ton, the all singing and dancing sti ra Imprezza is 225bhp per ton so there is a difference, however having raced my friends sti ra and with my boost flicked to high there aint much in it as the legacy gearing is longer.
These are the WRX STI figures (I know its newer and faster but it is still the same engine!)... As the car uses the same engine and running gear you would loose your 'wager'... Subaru quotes acceleration figures of 4.8 seconds from zero to 60 mph and 13.4 seconds in the quarter-mile. Our internal accelerometers won't argue with those numbers, or a likely top speed in excess of 150 mph (the speedometer goes to 160)...
The older legacy 4 cam 16v turbo, (as far as I can find on the net) has times of 6 seconds 0-60 and a standing 1/4 of 14.9 seconds @ 109MPH STANDARD!!!
The point I was trying to make, is that I have owned and hammered a variety of standard affordable family sports cars: 2.8 xr4x4, xr3i, saab 99 (fast in it's day), calibra 16v. I have been taken for rides in many more. The Subaru I now own is not a little bit quicker, it is a country mile faster.
I wasn't trying to exaggerate and doubt I will reply again.
Funny how you listed unaffordable (to me) car figures, yet if you look at any impreza specs, they are faster than both cars you quoted!
Watch what you wager on... you could lose your money.
I'm sorry but there's no way a Legacy will do 0-100 in less than 13 seconds. The Imprezas are only just in the 15-16 sec region and they're quite a bit lighter. Sub 13 secs is getting into Porsche territory. I've driven an Aston Vanquish S with 550 BHP which does it in 10 secs and a 420BHP Audi RS6 is around 11 sec. Are you telling me that a wagon with half that BHP is only 1-2 secs quicker? Get your facts straight! I'm sure its quick but I'd wager 0-100 in 15-16 secs - no less.

I Drove One Of These Subaru Legacy 2.0 Turbo, 4x4,
I drove one of these Subaru Legacy 2.0 Turbo, 4X4, GL Estate Sports Cars while my darling 205 was in the garage and I have to say that I hated it! I'm sorry to other subaru drivers but I did. Compared to my 205 it was slow and due to the length and weight it was incapabale of taking corners and didn't grip the road too well. It bounced on every bump and the stearing was twitchy and almost uncontrolable past about 70mph. It was practical however as the boot is huge, especially with the seats down. It had reliability problems from the start but only cost my Dad £500 so it was quite good value.
