Vauxhall Astra Sports Hatch 1.6 16V SXI

I love my 2005 vauxhall astra sxi. the 1.6 engine is very fast and it goes like a mini rocket. the supension is quite hard but that does give for a sporty feel. I love the fact that vauxhall have given the sxi sports pedals, sports sterring wheel, timer. i love it. much better than any other car ive driven. I would much rather have this car than any ford, or vw. its a mini lambo, well almost. i would recomend this car for anyone that whants a small well equipent little car thats fast. the only thing that i dont like is that the trip computer display thing is a little difficlt to get used to.

I bought this car after owning both previous modles of the Astra,absolutly love it! just as reliable as the other modles,With previous cars i would find myself getting bored after about 6 months of owning it but this car i have great pleasure getting into it on a daily basis.The only thing that i could moan about is the actual size of the boot opening can be a right pain if you are trying to get large objects in,and mine has cloth interior and after about 30,000 i had to have the drivers seat and the rear seats recovered as they had worn on the seams,so next time i will deffinatly be choosing leather.The actual amount of room in the front is great i was really surprised as i am 5'11. Overall a great car very very pleased

This is a great look car, that is fast however does have good MPG. the price is resonable. interior is reall good. the drive is comfortable and firm

the Vauxhall Astra Sports Hatch is a great car

I have wanted one of these cars for almost 9 months now (they have been out in production for nearly 4 years) Oh and it was well worth the wait. I just bought a 06 model. To be totally honest, this car surprised me more than what I would have thought. I am used to driving a 1.2 Renault Clio 8v so going from that to this is a very BIG difference, I suppose going from a small car to a car this big will take some getting used to. But I ' m sure ill cope. What struck me as a surprise (I never test drove one of these before I purchased one) was the power you feel. It goes like mad, I actually Kangaroo hopped it all the way home ha! (Not the cars fault just me - I ' ve drove for 8 years! The seats are so comphy and you sit in the perfect position (no matter what size you are, I ' m only 5'1 and I feel tiny but the car fit's around me). The steering wheel feels very like much you are in control. this car is glued to the road, I stay at Loch Lomond (yes in the middle of no where, with lots of wee winding roads and long spouts of long straight roads at 70mph) I love the fact you get nice sports pedals (as standard) and you feel like you have just bought a Ferrari (okay not quite) but nearly as good. The sound system on this machine is amazing, it doesn ' t rattle, even when I have turned it up full, (my boyfriend is into very hard bass music) and the sound on it is ACE. It's a nice quiet car, but when you want it to make some noise you can. As I said, I ' ve only owned this BRILLIANT car for 1 day, but I cannot fault it in anyway. But I will give an update. Thanks for reading and anyone who is considering buying this car................. DO, you'll love it, even if you only drive it for 1 day, I ' m sure you'll fall in love with it!

I got this car as my second vehicle since passing my test and I have to say it is one of the best purchases of my life. It looks great and I had many a comment about how nice my Black 3 Door SXI looks. The car is quick of the mark and and is fairly quick on the move, although I did notice that it tended to shake when I pulled away (it felt a bit like I was about to stall, but I can assure you I was not anywhere near stalling), just something to watch if you are going to purchase one. The fuel economy was not great by any means even driving dead on speed limits which who drives on exactly the speed limits all the time everytime. The space inside is ample for the front passengers but I have had rear passengers before and they said the space is not great. The boot is a good size and will fit in a couple of suitcases without problem. Overall I have given this car a score of 9 out of 10 as I think it is a great car that would appeal to the modern family and also to the new young driver. The only reason I have not given this a 10 out of 10 is the fuel economy and the pull away, other than that I would recommend this to any one.

The Astra Sports Hatch is one of the most refined cars I have had the pleasure of owning, and I really wanted not to like it when I went on the test drive! Great visibility, great handling the front end is well bolted down on the bends and the back end is sure footed too. Fun can be had where it is appropriate, I had mine on a beach and all I can say is I have never laughed this hard since I was three! Wow!

Mine has the Irmscher kit, looks fantastic and is in the Peacock colour from Vauxhall which is tres sexy for this SXI.

Go buy one, especially from the dealers I went to!

The Astra Sports Hatch 1.6 is a very eye catching car which gets plenty of looks from passers by. Red and gun metal grey are the best colours in it.As a corsa driver during my student years, I could not have picked a better 'first' car!!
