Poor Stitching - The Entire Length Of The Roof, At

Poor stitching - the entire length of the roof, attached to the caravan, tore off in a gust of wind during one stormy night, the only bit left was corner bit about an inch long! Although I might be able to get it repaired, I do expect better. Bought new lasted 7 months! Waste of money! Not fit for touring! Maybe OK for the occasional user. Easy to set up by one, with two its a witp. Flimsy alloy pegs, I don't know why they even bother putting such inferior pegs in the kit! Replaced originals with rock pegs and angle pegs. IMO not worth it! #SunnCampFail

Suncamp Scenic Beware

I have also had a suncamp scenic awning for a couple of years, i know you get what you pay for but I didnt expect it to damage my caravan, if the wind is more than a light breeze there is the potential for the horizontal pole to hammer against the caravan wall. This has caused substanial damage to my van it would have been a lot cheaper to have bought a top of the range awning. Buyers be warned!

We bought this in 2010 as it is easy to erect and cheap. However, although only used a few times, we already have 1 snapped pole, poor fit to caravan, and it leaks like a sieve. Although cheap, would expect it to be waterproof. Also the vent covers are useless as you cannot seal them all round due to the poor design (2 tiny bits of velcro). Wasted our money.

Very Disappointed. Don't Buy. I Receive

Very disappointed. Don't buy.

I received and returned 3 2010 Sunncamp Ultima 260 Burgandy awnings because of damage as follows -

1. Cigarette burn through the roof material and 2 places on the side walls. Obviously burned while folded.

2. Rectangular (about 100mm X 40mm) still tacky glue marks at 3 places on the roof material. Looked to be accidently applied at random locations by a machine.

3. Water inside the folded awning which has stained the material green, plus another accidental rectangular glue mark on the roof.

Quality control at the manufacturer appears to be non existant.

Had Our Suncamp Awning For 5 Years. Never Had A Pr

Had our suncamp awning for 5 years. Never had a problem with poles coming through although it can be a bit noisy (creaking against caravan side) when very windy. Always been waterproof. Its now getting a bit tired, am a bit worried that poles will snap and in some places stitching is beginning to go. Still it was very cheap very good and has been used 5-6 times a year for 5 years so I would recommend one to anyone. I am about to replace with same.

We Have Had Our Sunncamp Awning For 3 Years, Unfo

we have had our SunnCamp awning for 3 years, unfortunately it has finnally given up to our English weather. We used our awning every weekend and were very pleased with its performance in the extremes it had to cope with, only once did it not behave but this was due to heavy winds and the small side vertical panels vibrated and were noisy all night. On the whole this awning is excellent value for money, it is what it is, if you want something for a seasonal pitch then dont buy, for the weekend caravan its easy to erect(15 mins)and plenty of room for a smoke.

We Have Used The Same Scenic Plus For Since They C

We have used the same scenic plus for since they came on the market and found it very good even in a strong wind . we put a piece of sponge at the end of the poles that touch the caravan as they did make a dent in the caravan wall but the sponge stops that and there is no noise from the poles. you do have to be careful when pegging it down not to rip the fabric.

Does the sides of the sunncamp scenic porch awning have hooks or sucker pads to connect to your caravan?
