Bad Customer Service
I am very disappointed with the attitude and customer service received today at Sainsburys Medowhall Petrol Station. I usually go to BP but had no choice and go to Sainsburys this morning around 9:50 to put petrol in. The total of the sale came to £30.01 i had no pennies or change on me. Gave the lady at the counter £30 and explained i havent got a penny only £50 note, hoping she can let me off this time but there was no understanding from her side instead she was rude and said give me £50 and i will give you change. Didn't really want to break £50 note for 1 pence. I am the sort of person who usually leaves the change and never takese it, and today taught me a lesson that people won't let you off when you have 1 pence short. There was also a comment made by the same cashier- "Dont come back here if you are not happy", how can people work with public with this sort of attitude. People with no customer service just give a bad reputation to a big name like Sainsburys. I will definitely stick to BP after this

No Cash Payment Facilities
I entered Sainsbury Dunstable petrol to fill my car as on empty. Usually you can request pay in kiosk or in store. I needed in kiosk as my replacement debit card is delayed in post... they have polite manual notices on each pump asking customers to pay at pump if possible. I stood there for 5 mins pressing the fuel pump hoping they would activate the pump so I could fill my car... they ignored!!!! I had to drive off the forecourt on empty but did manage to get to BP further up the road... phew I thought! We are not in a cashless economy as off yet so perhaps sainsburys could conform to what is currently normal in this world... cash and card !!!!

Why Are All Prices Not Reduced?
I have just read on the BBC News app that prices of oil and petrol have been reducing but are not being reflected at the pumps. Sainsbury’s are not the only major supermarket who are failing to reduce their prices accordingly but, just as BBC News are asking, we should all be raising the same question from ALL the major petrol stations and supermarkets! In the meantime, they are all making big profits whilst people are being complacent.

Bad Quality Fuel!
Sainsburys fuel maybe cheap in price, but it's cheap in quality. It makes your car tappety and damages your engine. Go to a branded petrol station - e.g - Gulf, Shell, Murco. It's a false economy.

Not Serving Children Properly
Twice I have been served after children have been refused their penny change.
It might be alright to tell adults Sorry We don't have any pennies.
But children should not be treated like this.
The second time this happened I was given my penny change but not my receipt so I could get my points added on as I had forgotten my card.
I hope these were just 3 mistakes.
Very Helpful Staff
The advisor in the Derby site was a great help to me over three months ago when I stupidly left my wallet at home. Couldnt recommend her enough during a stressful situation. Its always very well presented inside there also and the coffee machine is great first thing.

Missing Miles
for some reason over the last few weeks when i have used sainsburys petrol i only seem to get half the mileage up against the mileage that i get when i use another petrol station i dont understand how this is happening but 3 times now i have put £10 into my car at another station and got at least 75 miles for that tenner. but when i put a tenner in at sainsburys i only get about 30 to 35 miles so unfortunatly i am now no longer using sainsburys petrol even if it is a few pence cheaper. has enyone else experianced this please let me know
This funny as it seems to have happened to me, i put in £18 Texaco at the coop in blaby and it lasted me a month (i usualy use £40 a month) then i put in £20 at sainsburys and it only lasted two and a half weeks, in the past ive done full tank checks of sainsburys fuel and my citroen xsara got 35 to the gallon month after month, but ive not checked the milage lately.
You are not alone, but I find this happens in my car when I use Tesco fuel. Not sure nowadays, but Tesco used to be Esso supplied, and this fuel also served my car poorly. For me, I get most out of BP petrol or our local Sainsbury, which leads me to the conclusion that our local Sainsburys' has actually got BP in the tanker. My local sainsbury's is also a couple of pence cheaper than the BP across the road. Maybe it is worth trying £10 of BP to see if this gives you similar mileage to your sainsburys? Good Luck.
The Newspaper Headlines Were A 3p Per Litre Cut Today
i feel that i have been taken for a ride, last night on my local radio station the news headlines were a 3p per litre cut in fuel for both unleaded and deisel i also went onto the internet and the sun headlines was sainsburys is slashing fuel by 3p per litre nationwide i dont know about nationwide but in morecambe there was a 2p per litre price cut i have been lied to and so has my local radio station and the sun the cut should have been more than 3p there quick enough to put prices up but not down

The Petrol From This Station Is Far More Expensive
The petrol from this station is far more expensive than most other stations (up to 5p per litre). Since Sainsbury's took over the former Somerfield store we have scene the demise of 3 independant petrol stations. The reason for this demise......they simply undercut the fuel prices that the others were charging......result, the smaller stations could not compete and so went out of business. Sainsbury's now have the monopoly for North Walsham and the surrounding area, as the nearest petrol station is over 6 miles away. Also they frequently have pumps that run out of fuel or unable to supply the fuel. And on top of this there is only one way in and out of this store, which at times causes undue traffic problems.
Q&A
I was refused using a BP Supercharge all star card at Braehead Sainsbury's this evening. I am positive I have used this card here before but was dismissed by a member of staff who just said 'never!'
Has this always been their policy?
