Do Not Use This Company.

I have reported ETA to the FCA for clear breaches in the code of conduct and GDPR, they do not honour claims or treat you fairly.

I am writing this before they have even made a decision as I am un happy to how I have been treated and my information has been used.

There are far better companies than ETA

Nightmarishly Useless. Do Not Use.

Nightmarishly useless. Claim to be technically astute but turned out the absolutely opposite with no common sense. Total, total waste.

Do Not Use This Company

This is the worst insurance company i have ever used, absolutely no idea of customer service, pure stalling tactics and forever sending you around in circles. You are better off paying more somewhere else. Their idea of a speedy service is at snails pace.

Rip Off Renewal Quote

I am happy to pay a bit more to use ETA breakdown cover, but I just spent 10 minutes on the phone persuading them that as an existing customer I shouldn't have to pay less than a new customer for my renewal.

They may be ethical environmentally, but the way they treat their customers is just as bad as everyone else.

I will continue to use them but I feel like they could do better.

Sorry, should have been 'shouldn't have to pay MORE than a new customer' in the first paragraph...

Do Not Use

I took out cover thinking it was a great deal - £75 including European cover. I was told it would cover me fully. Well I broke down a hundred miles from home on a Friday early evening. It turns out my cover only got me a maximum of 15 miles from where I broke down. What use is that? To take me home I would have had to pay around 300 pounds with ETA.

I was mis-sold this policy and left in awful trouble when I needed them most. Now they have the audacity to send me a renewal letter. Their customer service was rubbish as well. When I rang up explaining that I had not been told of the limited nature of the cover, the man just said, "it's your fault and you should have read the policy". Oh did I mention they want £122 this year.

I don't think so somehow.

My advice - be very clear about what you're getting in your policy so that you're not left stranded and desperate.

You shouldn't think you are 100% covered without reading the policy. As far as insurances go (any insurance) I never pay for a insurance unless I read their policy and I'm happy with it. I found their policy (ETA) not too lengthy and written in pretty plain English so was not too hard to read it entirely before purchasing insurance from them.

I Chose Eta Breakdown Cover To Be Ethical But Didn

I chose ETA breakdown cover to be ethical but didn't realise it would compromise customer service. I had to wait THREE HOURS on the M69! They'd sent one recovery driver out who'd apparently driven up and down the motorway and couldn't find us. I'd given the motorway marker post number we were right next to and had the Highway Agency patrol confirming where we were, yet the operators insisted on blaming me for giving them wrong info and said we weren't on the M69 and wanted to charge us for the drivers mileage! The second recovery found us straight away with less info in less than 30 mins. Please don't use the ETA. It was night time and cold but we were lucky it wasn't raining and had no children, elderly or animals with us. I am worried about people experiencing this who do have any of the latter or in bad weather.

I Joined The Eta Breakdown Service 3 Years Ago And

I joined the ETA breakdown service 3 years ago and have used them once, whilst on holiday, I was travelling to Cornwall to stay with friends, when the car broke down. I had a car full of children!

I called the ETA breakdown service (thankfully I had put the number on my mobile phone contacts list) I waited just a short while before a chap turned up from a local garage. When I explained what had happened, he seemed confident that he knew what the problem was.... and he was right! We were back on the road within the hour. He was obviously very knowledgeable about car mechanics, but he was also very customer service aware, he was very polite when he chatted to me and the children. I will certainly remain a customer of ETA

I Have Been A Member Of The Eta For 7 Years And Ha

I have been a member of the ETA for 7 years and have always received great service. I have had to call them out twice, once in the UK about 10 minutes from home - someone arrived in under 30 minutes - they do not use their own fleet of vans but outsource to local business which I like too.

The other time I had to call out the breakdown service is when my family and I were travelling on the continent, our van couldn't be fixed on the road side so it was taken to a local garage and we had to stay in a B&B which the ETA reimbursed us for.

I will continue to be a member of the ETA as they have also given me great service and they are only breakdown company that funds environmental work.

E T A Breakdown Cover Is The Only Green Breakdown

E T A Breakdown Cover is the only green breakdown company in the UK and it is not for profit. You get the same service and a better policy than I had previously with the RAC but I know my money is doing some good rather than going to shareholder.
