Poor Customer Service

I was fed up with Green Flag so swopped to QDOS based on price and reviews. I am unsure how they got such good reviews. I had a flat battery and the mechanic who came out to look at it (took an hour) didn't have spark plugs that were working so not sure the point of them coming to see me. Perhaps so they could claim they came out in the alotted time? They then had to go and get more spark plugs which took another hour. I complained to QDOS about this pretty basic error and received some sort of fob off letter saying they had investigated it and that was that. The other problem was the car was at my flat and I asked if the driver could call me when they arrived so I could wait in the flat. But they said not all drivers had phones so I had to wait by the car. This sounds ridiculous as how do QDOS communicate with the drivers if they don't have phones? Who doesn't have a phone? - I also complained about this and they wrote some fob off reply. I won't be renewing based on this poor response.

Joined on 9 Sept. 2017. On 22 Sept. needed to call QDOS as my car was a 'non-starter' on my front path.Call to QDOS was dealt with courteously and efficiently.

I was told engineer would attend within 60 or 90 minutes. Not sure what time had elapsed before he arrived, but it did not seem very long after my call

Battery was totally discharged but QDOS man got engine running with his jump

start charger. Thereafter he advised me to attend a local garage to arrange for

dash display to be put right. Local garage did so without charge.

A day which started badly ended up well- car was later used for local trip without any problem.

Well impressed with QDOS service and would recommend to any-one looking for breakdown cover at a very reasonable price.

Europe Breakdown

Terrible, they didn't provide me with road side assistance and than waited for around 17hr to get replacement car. They refuse to provide us (with 3small kids) even a bottle of water because it is not in their policy doc. They couldn't fix our car so they repatriated some 3 weeks after we returned from holiday. Very unpleasant expiriance. Nothing I could do about it as that is their standard contract which I accepted. Very sad.

Rip Off Cancellation Fees - Avoid!

I bought their breakdown policy in October, 5 months later I enquired about cancelling the policy as I changed jobs to one that had a company car and sold the car it related to. They informed me that the cancellation fee is £15 plus another £7.50 admin fee, so I was entitled to no refund. Not sure how they can justify fees that total over half of what the policy cost in the first place! I would not recommend paying for an annual policy upfront with this company, the fees are a rip off!

Avoid This Shambles

I joined and waited for my conformation email but it never arrived. I phone qdos but no one was available to assist. After many calls qdos said they had resent email but it never arrived, I checked spam filters etc so in the end I gave up and cancelled. As qdos failed to meet their side of our contract I objected to paying £7.50 administration cost and the UKs long distance selling regulations do not allow qdos to do this.

Qdos failed to respond to letters of complaint and eventually my credit card company refunded the remainder of my money.

I would not want my breakdown cover to be provided by a firm that do not answer telephone calls, refuse to accept U.K. Legislation and fail to respond to written letters of complaint, but that's just my choice.

Rip Off!!!

Do NOT go with this company. They are a shambles!! I took out cover with them opting for a discount and got a cheap quote but didn't realise I would only be allowed to call them ONCE a year!!! So I phoned the company one hour later to cancel and they charged me a £7.50 admin fee to cancel. Absolutely ridiculous!! You should not get charged anything if you cancel within 24 hours!! Completely mad!! A complete joke!!!

Qdos Breakdown Brilliant

I was unfortunate enough to require their services yesterday, when I was six hours away from home. The call centre, was great, very patient and understanding. He then recommended a local garage, who contacted me in 10 mins. Thy said a breakdown engineer would be with me in 15 mins, and he was! A very capable chap, who got me mobile very quickly. He was professional and keen to help. A brilliant service, that I would recommend to anyone.

Shambles

Cheap for a reason. Passed from pillar to post. Not given adequate information. I broke down and had to spend 2 days in a hotel. Trying to make a claim to get costs back. No one sent me the claim form. 2 different email addresses and no one seems to be able to give me a postal address to send the paperwork. 3 phone calls and a livechat. Ridiculous.

I had a breakdown in Stuttgart, Germany during my europe tour in May 2016 ...the response was very good and fast done by the Qdos personnels thanks to the people I dealt with both were very kind and really helpful...i purchased the single trip breakdown cover for europe and i was thankful that my business trip in germany was saved by the immediate response and actions taken by Qdos.

I will have a tour in europe again this coming July 2016...i have purchased another single trip breakdown cover again with Qdos because i really appreciate their excellent response and service.

Thumbs up and please continue with your excellent service.

100% recommended.It is good value for money.

Left Me Stranded On M62

Left me stranded on m62 . Waited 2 1/2 hours for them to rescue me . Was told they were 5 mins away from me when I fact no one was coming out to us .complete waste of time.phoned me up while I was waiting to be rescued to ask how I thought of there service that night! Avoid at all cost.still waiting for explanation to why no one came to rescue us.
