Honda Dylan 125

Honda dylan 125 bought in 2014 on 2006 model. Quite surprised the way it rides as was used to clutch & gear bikes. Best little twist & go bike I had & enjoyed riding it. Reliable & easy to maintain. Passed car test & sold it 2016 & kind of regretted it but can't run car & bike at the time. If you find one in good low mileage condition & want a durable reliable bike then I would recommend it & cheaper to buy than modern versions of it. Honda pes 125 replaced it & just as good. Highly recommend.

In 2005 when I was 17 I got my first Honda Dylan 125, second-hand out of the paper. I never dreamed I would still be riding it 15 years later. It’s a fantastic bike, nippy and oh so reliable. Always first off at the traffic lights. While he may look a bit tired now in terms of bodywork (more due to over a decade of cold snowy winters I left him out in the garden), the engine still runs great. Sits steady at 60mph but doesn’t like going much over. Costs £5 to fill up the tank and lasts for ages. Best bike ever.

Was a little reluctant to buy this at first, especially with 150k miles on the clock. However the dealer I got it from had serviced it from new for the only owner. It is really economical and starts on the button every time. It cut out once whilst I had been sitting in traffic for about 10mins in the rain. Other than this I had no problems. Off the mark it absolutely thrashes any cars and sits perfectly at about 60mph. Any faster and it makes a fuss but will do it. I got 80mph down a hill :). Superb example of Honda reliability would recommend any day!

I have had my Dylan 125 (aka SES125) for about 6 months now and I must say I am very happy with it. It is my first bike over 50cc and so far I am very pleased with it as it is very easy to handle and very practical. It is ideal for my daily commute and very cheap to run. It is very economical if driven carefully and even if pushed you can still get >100mpg (I routenly get ~120 and I am not careful). Service costs around £85. As other people have said it pulls very well at low speeds but over 40mph you start feeling its lacking - but this not to be critisism as we must remember it is a 125, so performance is great for what it is. Under the seat you get space for a single large helmet and there is a small document compartment in the front fairing. The only problem I have read about these is that apaently there are problems with the exhaust rusting. Personally I have not had this problem and the rate of the exhaust rusting is very slow - I am in Britain right. Overall very happy and would recommend if you are looking for something to commute around or for small trips around the city.

Fantastic ride, easy to use. Was getting 150 miles for 7 liters of fuel. Goes well for a 4 stroke and will sit at 65 on the motorway. Ridden it 2 up and was still easy to handle. Brakes REALLY well you need it to especially with its combined breaking.

Prices holding well second hand for this fantastic bike and I can see why. I sold my Dylan for a Yam YZF600 and to be honest I do miss the practicality of this bike. There is a 150cc available but they are for other countries and I have not seen one for sale here. (shame)

The Dylan really is nimble and easy to ride, it does everything you need it to do if you have a rear luggage box fitted to store your crash helmet.

I just traded my Hornet 600 for a second hand Honda Dylan with 1500 miles on the clock as I realised I was going to kill myself on the hornet! The Dylan starts first time, is super frugal on petrol 120 mpg and has 14 bhp more than most 125cc scooters. The average speed is 65 mph but I have had 70 on a long straight - from 0-50 it pulls like a train and has more than enough go to overtake safely but after 50 mph it slows, I've been surprised at how strongly it pulls uphill - if it does 70 down a hill it happily does 60-65 up the other side. The headlights are the brightest I've had on any bike or scooter in 20 years of bike riding and must be seen to be appreciated, the instrument panel has an LCD trip meter, shows your total mileage and has a surprisingly useful clock. The speedo has kilometres as well as miles and also has a fuel gauge. All in all this is a well built, powerful 125 that is the UK's best selling 125 scooter for good reason.
