The Kymco Is A Fanstanstic Reliable Little Scooter
The kymco is a fanstanstic reliable little scooter, overall haven't had any real problems with it except for the rear mud guard coming off, and the exhaust muffler comming loose.
Travelled 250 miles each way to my sister's and back on the A1 non stop, and it performed without any problems, except for the need to fill up 3 times on the way.
The kymco is incredibly light and pulls well, even on very steep roads with no lack in performance. Basically the torque is fastastic but the top speed is around 65 mph amd it begins to vibrate and scream and seems to want to nudge a little faster.
I've been everywhere with this bike, camping, long distance travel and it seems capable of doing anything and going anywhere, it keeps up with traffic on all A roads.
It is also delightfully comfortable, you would have to be riding for 6 hours or more before you begin to notice any real leg and back ache.
But for performance it is very quick off the mark, great torque and a top speed matched by most 125's, I fail to see why there is a need to ride a geared bike when the agility gets you to top speed quickly and wthout the drama.
The only minor issue I have is the 1 gallon fuel tank, and I am forced to visit the fuel station once a week on work commutes and an immediate fill up after 70 miles. Even with the increase in fuel it is still much more affordable than public transport, £7 wil fill you up to the very top and allow you to go anywhere at 1.32 GBP per litre.
The seat space allows me to fit my helmet and gloves easily, much better than carrying my helmet everywhere which used to be the norm. So the 1 gallon tank as annoyying as it is, is very usefull.
The suspension and wheels don't cope with bumps well, and it is best to avoid pot holes as this could easily damage yor tyre and cause an accident.
A great bike which will get you anywhere no problem, will buy another one after my current.

Solamente Los Comentarios De Un Recent Simo Compra

I Have Bought This Bike In Portugal In April 2010,
I have bought this bike in Portugal in April 2010, it is now 5000KM.
At first it would look like a good investment, but now I am not so sure.
First of all the good things:
Confortable, reliable, good looking (and that's it).
The bad things:
Build quality is not very bad, but could be much better. There is an annoying noise in the exhaust cover. Te bolts are constantly loosing. Noises in the front wind protection.
The tank size is ridiculous. 5 liters, is good for about 100km in the city, 120km in open road.
There is no space for any helmet (i really mean any) under the seat.
The fuel consumption average is 4.2L/100km (in my opinion very high)
Top speed 110km/h (with favorable wind, and at that speed you will be out of fuel in 80km). In a small climb goes to 80km/h. not enough horse power.
Distance between revisions (2000km) is too small, and gets quite expensive.
They built a nice bike, but for the same price, they could make much better (like they did in other more expensive models).
Would recommend a Yamaha or Honda instead.
Important things to look when buying a bike: Wheel size, tank size (at least 10L), horse power (at least 11HP) if you can fit a helmet under the seat, ride comfort, and in my case if you can go shopping with it.
If you want to buy mine, I'll sell.

Purchased In May 2010 For My Son To Go To Work. H
Purchased in May 2010 for my son to go to work. Had it for three months and it stopped. Was in the shop for 4 weeks. Kymco and the dealer had never heard of the problems. Replaced all the gears, the clutch which was gone, and the oil was burnt. Was told SOL (sorry out of luck) on the length of repair. There are no lender bikes until yours is repaired. Huge inconvenience. Taking it back this week for a check, sounds off again. Can not recommend this bike for reliability.
Should not have had this much difficulty for a bike 3 months old! Taking the bike for a ride prior to riding it might have helped discover the problem. It was delivered to the home by the dealer and never driven.

A Great All Rounder. Build Jsut As Well As Many O
A great all rounder. Build jsut as well as many of the italian scooters. The large wheels make it a comfortable ride. Top speed isnt as high as some 125's but it is called the city after all and not the motorway cruiser.
Seems good on economy, can get about 60 km/h out of it up the very steep long hill to my house. Engine sounds nice and it easily copes with two adults onboard.
Handles well, accelerates very well leaving all traffic standing. Feels as good as a Benelli, Piagio etc. The only negative is that it could do with a bit more speed BUT when you look at the quality for the low low cost you really cant compain - a great bargain! BUY IT!

Have Owned A Kymco 125 For 2months And Have Roughl
Have owned a Kymco 125 for 2months and have roughly travelled 1500kms. Prevously owned a SYM dd50 and travelled 19000kms over 3 years. The Kymco is a simply brillant machine 3 litres per 100kms plenty of pick up and travels well at speed. The DD50 was awesome but as a male weighing around 100kgs its great to have a little extra power
