Good Basic Commuting Bike
There are a lot of good reviews associated with this bike. The thing not mentioned so far are the ergonomics. This bike will suit taller riders as well as shorter ones, and the riding position is very comfortable. This bike is very easy to operate and will suit new and experienced riders alike.

Beleive It Or Not I Will Be 60 Next Year And I Bou
Beleive it or not i will be 60 next year and i bought this bike from a guy who was over 70!! and when i got it there was only 4 miles on the speedo!!wow. I use it to get myself home from driving my vintage advertising van from various static advertising locations. Yes the sachs madass 125 travels in the rear cabin and the other madass (me) travels up front.
At my age i was an original 'mod' in the swinging 60's and was looking to buy a lambretta or vespa for a trip down memory lane. As for my decision to purchase this "thing" well it was on looks alone . I have to admit after owning this wee beauty i find myself visiting people i would generally never call on to visit , one reason ... just to have a wee outing on this fun wee bike. I love it, sure there is no fuel guage, but my merc can cost £100 to fill the tank and i struggle to get £6 in this madass machine. Having doubts, just buy the thing you are a long time dead .. enjoy

Designed In Germany And Manufactured In One Of The
Designed in Germany and manufactured in one of the finer "sweat shops" somewhere in the better part of China? Sounds good to me! Few Issues: Clutch Rod Seal pops out {glue seal into case with "Loctite" and get an extra breather at intake valve cover} Vibration/Rattles & Chain Misalignment {check and tighten both motor mounts bolts daily} Kick Stand Spring breaks or falls off while riding {thats alway fun while making left hand turns} Headlight Beam Restricter {perhaps only calif , just open up upper head lamp and remove it} Other wise really like this neat and stylish little bike. Just keep the valves properly adjusted and its a zippy bike

Bought a Madass brand new, had it a a while now its a little bit slow only realy getting 60mph. that aside it is a great little bike, great for commuting. I came off it once in the wet, i went about 10 yards down the street got back to the Madass barley a scratch on it! when i first bought it it had a few electrical issues that where resolved but havent had any in months. Would definetly reccomend getting one brilliant value for money good first geared biked and very economical.

Just Bought The Thing. I Had A Cut Down To The Bo
Just bought the thing. I had a cut down to the bone in my left thumb (the clutch hand) and was so excited I didn't even feel the pain. 4 hours later I found myself in the ER. The bike is awesome. I bought it after driving by it on the way to work, never even sat on it and bought it because of looks.....lifes too short, enjoy

First, The Negatives: No Fuel Gauge, Although The
First, the negatives: No fuel gauge, although there seems to be a sign of it on the LCD. No center stand. Need to choke it a bit. Girls seem scared of it, guys ask you too many questions.
That said, it's the most fun I've ever had under 500cc. Awesome, fun-as-hell kick start. Pissed-off badger looks and groan. It's a great whiskey shot to every wine-snob Vespa who dares look in its direction. Well-built and frisky, actually talks to you in the way a good cycle does with its rider. Excellend suspension and remarkably good pick-up.
The kiters will love its easy mod and turnkey riders will appreciate its stock 119 (not exactly 125), but it gets an easy 60mph without screaming like scared scooters.
Great job, Sachs. And hats off to the Chinese who actually built this thing very firm.

The Sachs Madass 125 Is A Blast To Ride, Easy To M
The Sachs MadAss 125 is a blast to ride, easy to mod and tinker on, beautiful in it's naked simplicity, and gets great mileage to boot.
Sachs has been doing a great job of listening to customer feedback and making refinements to the bike since it's release. Here are some things that could still use some work though. The clutch switch in the left hand controls can be a little futzy, but is easy to circumvent. Unlike most everything else on the bike, the ignition coil is not very accessible for replacement. The neutral light is not all that accurate. Some people have complained of it being on while they are actually in first. I find that when turning on the bike and trying to move from first to neutral the green light does not always come on even though the bike actually is in neutral. I think they use J-B Weld on some of the bolts rather than Loctite. I'm just kidding, but some of the bolts can be excessively difficult to remove the first time. A fuel gauge would be lovely.
I found this review helpful because...it confirms my experience with the neutral light. It tends to indicate neutral a lot when it is still in gear. The other details are good to take into account too.

The Sachs Madass 125 Is A Bit Slow, And It Is Only
The Sachs Madass 125 is a bit slow, and it is only 119 cc but the styling takes the biscuit.I also considered a Honda 110 Aussie post office bike or a smaller but likeable Portuguese Casa as having a similar style but in the end the availability of the MadAss from the importers just a few miles away made buying from new an easy if expensive option.

I've Had A Madass 125 For About 18 Months Now.
I've had a Madass 125 for about 18 months now.I downsized from a CB1000 (naked Honda muscle bike) to the Madass. As yet, I haven't met anyone who has gone to that extreme. If you live in a city & commute 30 - 40 mins to work, the Madass is unbeatable. Be prepared to spend an hour a week explaining to people (pedestrians, car drivers at traffic lights, American tourists) what the Madass actually is. "No, it's not electric". When people see it in action they do get quite excitable, sometimes shaking their heads in amazement. As much as I love it, I'm tainted by the knowledge of what a 1000cc bike can do. However, it is the perfect city bike on cost & does allow a bit of snobbery to look down on the average scooter rider.
excellent review!
