Bought It Because I Didn't Want To Pay £7.40 To Park My Car.
Im not a biker by any means, when i started to look for a scooter on tbe internet, the Tamoretti 125 was the best looking and at the right price brand new.Ive had my scooter nearly 3 years (5000 miles ) and when the bulb in the petrol gauge went after 2 days i feared the worst. The good news is, thats all thats ever gone wrong...I use it daily to commute to the station where i park for free, it starts first time even thru the winter, for me it does about 75 miles to the gallon, it will sit happily at 55-60 mph and its a fun ride. My only complaint is that the cheap crome has started to pit and flake and looks a bit rusty, but lets not loss sight, it cost £900 brand new. Great value for money...this scooter has paid for itself in petrol savings and parking twice already and still goes strong....get yourself one ,you wont regret it.
Hi there when the bulb went on your petrol tank did it turn over and not start?

Terrible Customer Service
I had the tamoretti retro 125, worked fantastically for 18months, serviced it regulary & clocked 6.500 miles on it in that time.
Then one bright spring day i got 2 miles from home & the engine started rattling & within 5 seconds stopped completely.
Turned out the crank shaft had split & gears/gear box had completely fallen apart beyond repair. Several mechanics recommended it needed a new engine, cost £450+ including the labour!. Both myself & a professional mechanic got on to Scooter Central believing they offer assistance in some way as the bike was less than 2 years old & had been well serviced & cared for.
Essentially they couldn't care less, their solution was to offer £100 off a new bike. Their attitude quite simply was you've been unlucky... tough sh#t!.
Basically i was informed by the mechanic who had contacted them that although the bike had work brilliantly in the time upto that - it was destined to always happen as the mechanics of the bike are built using the cheapest/poorest quality metal he'd ever seen used in moving vehicle parts.
Have since found out that the majority of owners don't see these bikes last much beyond 2/3 years. Roughly 6-8k in mileage!.
My advice to anyone is to steer clear of these bikes, & definitely stay clear of scooter central as they are only interested in taking your money & couldn't care any less about any issues you have.

Tamoretti 125cc From Scooter Central
I bought a Lizard Green Tamoretti 125cc from Scooter Central as one of my friends bought a black 50cc from them to drive in the city it got stolen 4 months later... He then replaced it by the same one a Black Retro 50cc and has had no problems whatsoever since he bought it 4 years ago. The only thing that happened is that the battery needed replacing recently and as he is not very handy I helped him out.... That's when I started considering buying one for my daily commute to and from Haslemere station.
I was unsure whether to get the 50cc or 125cc... 50 seemed powerful enough for London but Scooter Central advised to go for the 125cc as my commute will be to and from the station on hilly rural roads... (the price for both is the same) As the delivery address is only few miles out of the 60 miles/£60 delivery zone Scooter Central proposed to deliver for £60 instead of the £120 for any address more than 60 miles away. I ordered the Scooter today and it will be delivered with all extra's fitted, fully checked over, registration, 12 month road tax and a full tank of fuel. Also they claim to provide a proper tamoretti english manual and a toolkit. First service is at 500 miles and my local bike garage will take care of it.
The pre-sales service has been wonderful... No pushy sales techniques and no question remained unanswered...
On that basis I would strongly recommend Scooter Central, call them if you're unsure and you'll find real professionals advising you.
Also their Lock and Chain and Spada helmets are really cheap... I didn't order them with Scooter Central yet because I wasn't certain of the quality but after visiting the Infinity Motorcycle store in Aldershot the helmets and chains turn out to be proper & safe brands. At Scooter central the Spada helmets where priced 36,99 at Infinity 44,95... Same for the chain a real no-brainer.
Anyway, we went for Scorpion Exo-100 retro Helmets from Infinity purely for style... They have a cool pop-up 'fighter jet'-style visor and leather lining... but lining and padding are about the same quality as the Spada...
I'll update my review later when the Tamoretti got delivered... I am off now to do my CBT

For Anyone Thinking Of Getting A Bike For Just &po
For anyone thinking of getting a bike for just £900, and something a little different looks wise, then this probably fits the bill. It is certainly a scooter that is value for money, and a lot of fun to ride. It is great because it isn't your average looking 'chicken chaser'!! and people do tend to show some interest whenever they see it. On the negative side, it is not the best quality workmanship, but hey... for the money it is OK. i am certainly happy overall.

I Have Gone On A Bit In This Review But.... Want T
I have gone on a bit in this review BUT.... want to say as much as possible because when I wanted a review on this bike NOWHERE had one.....This Tamoretti Urban 125 twist 'n' go is just £900 on the road with tax. It's 4stroke 125cc has plenty a "Zip" but if you was to ask me its top speed I'd always say "65mph" basically the bike will reach 65 all day everyday and hold that speed. A few more good bits......LOOKS:- Excellent, get asked what it is all the time (Not got a pea shooter exhaust looks big and beefy)RIDE:- Well I'm a big bike rider this is just a toy........ it doesn't give me confidence, it's NOT set up to lean over on roundabouts but u can go full pelt round other corners. (It's worth mentioning better tyres MAY improve this bikes handling)Security:- My particular bike has an alarm and immobilizer which BLEEP REALLY LOUD when arming and dis-arming, so if u get greedy eyes on ur bike when u pull up they look away when u press ur fob and the bike flashes and goes BEEP BEEP BEEP. LOL another cool feature is u can key-less-ly start and stop the bike from the fob which again turns heads, when u appear to walk off leaving the engine running but press ur key-fob and turn the engine off and BLEEP the alarm on. Build Quality:- Ok, I suppose. Engines solid..... electrics a bit rubbish...... build quality is ok'ish.I'll explain........ BUT BEFORE I DO REMEMBER THIS BIKE IS ONLY £900 ON THE ROAD WITH 12MTHS TAX A FULL FUEL TANK.......... engines been good no tapping no problems runs like new all the time !!!!! (Put Castrol Magnatec 10/40w car oil in it don't cut corners on oil i never have on any bike). Now the faults ive had BUT fixed quickly. Headlight bulbs all blew in one go in 2 weeks of owning the bike (New bulbs arrived 2 days later) new bulbs didn;t work but found out the headlight wasn't screwed down at all (the wiring was holding it on!!!)... the screws were loose in the headlight screwed it down now LOL. A week later bike wouldn't start :( was collected and taken away....... turned out that because of the headlamp thing my CDI/CPU had been shorted and fried.... also a regulator or something that controls the watts/amps in the bike was faulty. Got the bike back week later speedo was jumping around giving a false reading..BUT stopped doing it on the way home and hasn't done it for 1 month LOL. BUT petrol gauage has stopped working now..... the speedo has already threatened to pack in.I think engine solid. electrics and build quality on plastics poor.
