Yamaha DT125X

BOUGHT MY 2007 YAMAHA 125X JUST UNDER A MONTH AGO AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WHY GET ANYTHING ELSE IF ALL YOU WANT IS SOMETHING FUN, PRACTICAL AND ECONOMICAL TO GET AROUND TOWN. CHEAP TAX CHEAP INSURANCE AND CHEAP TO RUN ARE ALL MORE REASONS TO GET ONE OF THESE. MINE HAS HAD A COUPLE OF SIMPLE MODS LIKE FULL NEW DEP EXHAUST SYSTEM AND THE REV LIMITER BEING BYPASSED (GREEN AND BLACK WIRE BEHIND THE SPEEDO CLOCKS CUT AND EARTHED TO THE FRAME)BIKE DOES 80MPH EASILY AND GETS THERE QUICKER THAN MOST CARS ON THE ROAD. ONLY DOWN SIDES WITH THIS BIKE IS THE SEAT IS A LITTLE HARD WHICH IS NOT IDEAL FOR LONG JOURNEYS AND THE ABSENCE OF A REV COUNTER AND FUEL GAUGE. MY ADVICE IS FILL THE TANK, RESET THE IDOMETER AND DRIVE THE BIKE AS YOU NORMALLY WOULD UNTILL YOUR FUEL RUNS OUT, MAKE A NOTE OF THE MILEAGE AND SWITCH THE FUEL TAP TO RESERVE TO GET YOURSELF TO THE NEAREST PETROL STATION. ALL ROUND GREAT BIKE AND WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND GETTING ONE IF YOUR LOOKING IN THE 125 MARKET.

fantastic bike for fun or commuting quick for what it is but panels do fade quickly from the sun i think yamaha could have put more money into the build quality of it but its far better to the tdr or honda xr etc best 125 trials bike on the market da 125 x are vary economical while still being enjoyable to drive if thinking about buying one of these bike take a good long look for surface rust on the frame and spokes of wheels and where the horn rad handle bars all join as these are points that rust is common if bike isnt garaged

Overall, very pleased with this bike which was bought for communiting purposes. I bought it 3 weeks ago and haven't taken my larger bike out since.

The Yamaha DT125 is learner friendly and perfect for preparing you for the next step up in bikes. The engine revs freely and has good power throughout the gears. The brakes have a nice feel and can bring you to a quick stop if needed too. The handling is good when on twisty roads.

Looks got. can use every where! Best 125 bike for the money!

What can I say, I'ts a 125 that does 110mph.
