I Have Had The Bike (a Faired 600 Hornet) Since Ne

I have had the bike (A faired 600 Hornet) since new and have covered 35000 miles on it apart from getting a bit sore on long rides the bike can only be discribed as brilliant. It has plenty of power, if you work it hard you can keep up with bigger bikes, the handeling is fine but a bit soft compared to newer bikes.

On a good day I can get 140 miles from the tank but when ridden properly it can go as low as 80miles.

Change the oil freuently it should keep on working well, Look after the chain you will find you put tyres on it every 12 months or so.

GO AND GET ONE YOU WILL LOVE IT.

A Superb Built Machine, Lot's Of Fun, Nice Riding

A superb built machine, lot's of fun, nice riding position and having looked around at a lot of other bikes for my first bike, I'm happy I chose the right bike! It's quite top-heavy compared to some bikes, but over-all it's well balanced and handling is good. Fuel range seems to be an issue, although it doesn't bother me too much as most of my runs are short. The power really kicks in around 5,000RPM but when you hit 10,000RPM you're really having fun! I've ridden the bike day after day through two winters, and it's still clean as a whistle and begging for me. It's a durable bike for sure, and the build quality is superb compared to other bikes in this class. In my view, Honda still have the upper hand on reliability and build quality, regardless of what the dealers tell you!

What I recommend it? definitely, although for me (personally) the lack of fairing is a problem as I use the Hornet for commuting. That said, if you want an agile, well built naked bike that can turn heads and keep it's resale value...buy one!

;-)

Bought This Honda Hornet 600 Bike In June Last Yea

Bought this Honda Hornet 600 bike in June last year just after I passed my test, took all of 10 minutes to get used to it (after only being on the rubbish 500 bike school bikes) done quite a few half day ride outs and one long one, learnt to overtake on it get used to corners, in my limited experience I would definitely recommend it as a good 1st bike

Bought My Honda Hornet In 02. Still Happily Potter

Bought my Honda Hornet in 02. Still happily pottering along. Don't buy a black one, the muck and scratches show up too well (like any vehicle that is black really).

Must have a half faring, couldn't imagine what it would be like without one... difficult.

If your over 6 foot, it sometimes feels like your on a toy bike as you seem to hang over it, rather than ride it. Looks a bit odd trying to tuck down behind the fairing on the tank with your knees up around you ears... not a good look.

I Have Had My Cb600 Honda Hornet 8 Months Quite Fr

I have had my CB600 Honda Hornet 8 months quite frankly one of the best investments I have made in my 41 years, no more traffic no more congestion charge, and its economical with performance enough to keep with most of the sports bikes to a point anyway, it gets the job done and its easy to maintain relatively cheap to buy and insure.
