I bought a 2000 Yamaha tdm850 six months ago with 28000 on the clock after 20 year layoff ,due to family wishes .now I'm never home just ,just reclaiming miles Iv miss off a bike !! TDM aren't everyone's taste but there not your shaft drive tourer either, different styling ,real cult bike .love to take her to Europe through the Swiss Alps in summer ,cars may come and go but not my TDM

I have travelled for some thousand kilometers with one tdm 850 and enjoyed them. It is a very good bike, but I could do with a bit less weight.

Faults I've Mentioned Are Pure Nit Picking Having
Faults I've mentioned are pure nit picking having had a sports bike for 10 years and TDM for 1 year the pleasure gained from my latest mount is supreme. Next bike will probably be 900TDM...hopefully.

I had a 900 and the fuel injection was poor - very snatchy - sort of hair trigger effect. But mine may have been a bad one, as I've talked to other people who like theirs.
