Aprilia Rally 50

I bought a 2004 rally 50. It had all the restrictors taken off as far as I know. VERY fast. Always first off all the lines. Very high top speeds of about 50-60 mph. I know it's single gear but it is set up strangely. Fast to start then a little tiny pause like it's switching gears. Then it goes smoothly to top speed nicely. I am wondering why it is kinda awful at inclines though? I'll be going up a steep hill and it will go and then have this rush of power and exhaust, and then slow down to like 15-20. I don't know if this is typical but I am wondering why and how to fix it. Also, it is a nice taller moped and feels bigger but it starts getting about as aerodynamic as a parachute. May just be the area I am in but I don't know for sure. So overall: Great acceleration, great top speed, strong body, durability. Bad at hills, very un-aerodynamic? I really do love this bike though and would recommend to almost anybody.

The aprilia rally Air cooled, is a great 50cc bike, Good strong frame, Good for performace tuning and quite reliable, Although the bike isnt great standard its topspeed can vary bike to bike, but if tuned...the bike is great, good topspeed and with it being a great bike perfect for the snow that come to britain during the winter. :)

i have a aprilia rally ac 50cc i bought this bike at Christmas and every where i go it seems to be doing the miles i set a trial with my friend his bike was on 7500 miles and mine was on 4500 and when we got back his said 7521 and mine was on 4548 and we both went exact same mile behind each other .... someone help

I bought the Aprilia Rally 50 purely to go backwards and forwards to work on as it's a lot cheaper than taking the car.

In the 9 years I've had it the only problems I've had are a couple of new exhausts, brake pads in the front and 1 new tyre.

The only thing i would say against this machine is it can be a bit scary in very wet or frosty weather.

Overall it is ideal for what I need it for.

it's acceleration is very qwik but the top speed it's not so fast

This is a good fun bike that has only had a TT exhaust and been de-restricted. The bike I quick when you get an exhaust and de-restricted it, good brakes, exceleration a lot of Yamaha Aerox part will also fit this for example I have now go areox breaks clutch an air filter.

Its overall an OK bike, just needs more power or a push. Mine has now power taking off, takes about 10 secs to pick up some speed also only does 30mph, any one got and answers why is happening?

I brought my first aprilia rally about a year ago and after 8 months i had a head on collision with a car this kind of put my bike out of action for a while as i could never raise the money to afford a new one. However i found a new one for only '£100 and i am working on repairing it right now, just a little tip for anyone that wants to resray their bike i would leave it unless desperate as it is a pain is the ass!! Overall this bike it a great ride and i would never trade it for any other 50cc

my first bike and its quick and after we strapped a g.p.s to the pillion seat discovered it does 102 miles on a full tank which is pretty good in my opinion. i have used this bike in some horrible conditions and in some horrible corners and its not really given me any problems. wing seems to move it a fair bit and the rear wheel tends to lock but just squeaks and hardly fish tails. the tyres didn't seem to like my local dual carriage slip road at 40 odd mph and i low sided it but those heavy mirrors and good old hand guards did the trick and there was very little damage. one thing it didn't like was the bitter cold but its the same for all machines, on a short 3 day road journey left outside it the snow overnight she started but 4 miles down the road ........engine went silent. half an hour with the other bikes exhaust on the carb sorted it out. overall a very good and reliable bike thumbs up from me.
