Booklice In New Hayes! Do Not Buy!!!!
I moved in 2 months ago and in first couple of days noticed bugs in my flat but thought that it was unused flat so some spiders etc were expected, now I have booklice coming out of access hatches coming out. There are number of flats with this issue in L1 and the management/Fairview does not do anything with it! Daren Webster who is a customer service has no any facilities management experience at all and blindly trying to help but it takes him ages as he does not have any knowledge so need to liaise with other departments. It’s very cold cans humid on L1 due to falsity fours which Fairview refuse to fix and make the hallway dry so these booklice could possibly due. DO NOT BUY FLaTS in HAYES!!!! NIGTHMARE!!!! Cannot imagine how am I to live in this place with these bugs! We will try to sue them but by the time we get compensation it we will have thousands of these bugs in our flats and no no one will want to buy from us even if we want to move out and sell!!!!! TERRIBLE!!!! AVOID by ALL mEANS!!!
Please Do Not Purchase Their Developments
They try to get you to pay thousands as a deposit (over £70,000) with us as they saw we had some savings and then when we said we could not leave that as a deposit as we have a child and other commitments they told us we could not have the property! It’s supposed to be a help to buy scheme and so why would anyone be required to leave such a huge deposit? They were vile to deal with as well when we told them no
Hidden Service Charges And Poor Customer Service
Horrendous experience when buying with Fairview. I have just been forced to withdraw from my purchase at their development in Highams Park due to their poor and unethical customer service.
Fairview tried to get me to sign up to a heat supply agreement without being given any cost for this service charge. When I pushed this, they finally gave me a quote of £0.56 KwH (5 x higher than any other company on the market). I queried this and did not hear a word back to them for 2 weeks. 2 weeks later after I had been forced to withdraw (and ultimately lose money on legal fees etc) I finally heard back from them telling me that they had made a typo in the legal contract and the charges were actually £0.056 KwH - this makes me wonder how many poor customers have signed a legally binding agreement for a service charge that is 5 x higher than market rate - the properties will be unsalable when they want to move on. Also, if they are making such simple mistakes on their legal documents, how many other mistakes are they going to make? They are completely untrustworthy and a huge lack of attention to detail.
Throughout the entire process I was pushed and manipulated by their terrible sales team who have absolutely no humanity. They threatened me on numerous occasions that they would be withdrawing my reservation if I didn't sign my documents by the next day, even though they had questions outstanding with them to answer before I would be able to sign.
They pushed me to use their solicitor (clearly because of the commission that they receive) and raised their voices to me when I dared to query their extortionate prices.
Overall I would not recommend purchasing with Fairview, and if you do, ensure that you have all of the hidden costs in black and white before you sign any agreement with them. They are unethical and only care about the service charges that they will tie you into.

They Made Me Homeless For 2 Months
I was made homeless buying apartment from this people. Basically soon after completion as I moved in, flooding from next door poor workmanship of washing machine entire flats wooden floor had to come out and my kitchen, which took them two Months to fix with no plan or date of fix given to me. I ended up with all my stuffs and no fixed address to live in, had to spend ten thousands just after you buy a flat so to survive. I ended up seeing doctors for stress and what not. They never paid for my reimbursements, planning to take them to court.
Avoid.

Purchased A Flat With Fairview. Ongoing Issues Wit
Purchased a flat with fairview. Ongoing issues with parking still not resolved 5 months later. Said we could all have pets during purchase, upon completion revoked this. Now all residents up in arms and we have started a residents association to fight them. Awful sales experience, pushy and rude. Awful finish - bowed ceilings, slanted floors. Having to fight for the smallest things over and over and getting nowhere. AVOID.

Awful Build Quality, Rude Staff
I bought a Fairview flat a few years ago and the build quality is awful. All the fixtures are the cheapest they could find, the doors are now coming off the hinges and the toilet tank leaked. There is no sound insulation so you can hear everything your neighbours are doing.
To add to this, the sales staff made the buying process extremely stressful and acted like bullies. They were extremely pushy in trying to get me to complete as soon as possible when there were things outside my control, and threatened to cancel my reservation if I didn't meet their deadlines. I would never buy a property from Fairview again.

Awful Expereince!
I have found this website just so I can write a review of how awful Fairview really are!
It starts with their pushy and awful sales team - I am a first time buyer and this experience should have been enjoyable and fun. The saleswoman is rude, arrogant and pushy. Once I paid a reservation fee she tried to tell me I could lose it if I didn't move quick enough (legally not true) and the sales team also hide behind their 'head office' as if they are the Government.
I was told to use their mortgage and solicitors, number 1 their mortgage people we unable to get me a mortgage as they had never heard of shares, stock or equity as a form of income (extremely normal practise for established brokers) and 2 their god awful solicitors they recommend actually can't stand Fairview themselves. My contact in the solicitors office would complain to ME about how bad Fairview was at dealing with things!
Until the day of completion the Fairview head office lady would call me everyday to see how things were getting on. The day after I completed I rang her to ask about some of the payments I had outstanding on the maintenance charges, she was so rude, acted like she didn't know me and kept directing me to a different company.
Once you complete and these greedy people are paid they will treat you awfully. As for 'Customer care', there is no care they, they just bat you around till they are done.
I am in the same boat, will be reaching out to property and legal ombudsman soon. These guys should be taught a lesson.
Hi, Sorry to hear this, I have had a similar issue with Fairview, I am reporting them to the Property Ombudsmen, would you be interested in joining me in some sort of capacity? They should not be allowed to do behave like this, the arrogance is staggering

Not A Pleasant Experience! Steer Clear
I purchased a two bedroom house from Fairview back in September 2017. At the time of purchase I was given no choice but to use their preferred mortgage broker and one of their chosen solicitors. We were given the option of two different mortgages. We picked the one we wanted and submitted the forms back to the broker. Around a week later, after chasing, we were advised that the mortgage we had chosen was not available on ‘new build properties’ ironic given this was Fairview’s recommend broker. They then found us a new mortgage that was available on new builds but the interest rate was higher. I found this highly unprofessional and I lost a bit of confidence in Fairview at that point. Once I had chosen one of Fairview’s solicitors, it turned out that solicitor wasn’t on the Halifax’s lenders panel and everything mortgage related had to go via a sister solicitor of theirs, again not very professional or ideal. To cut a long story short, we got the keys to our house in September and we were the first ones to move in on the development so the workmen were still around. The site manager was so lovely and helpful and fixed all of our snagging quickly. Since having moved to the development my mum was also keen to buy there as she liked my house and wanted to remain close to me. Due to my introduction I was told by the sales person, if my mum purchased a house from Fairview, I would qualify for a £5k referral fee, at that point no date restrictions or supporting paperwork was given to me. My mum purchased a house from them in November, after following up for my referral fee I was told my mum had received all the discounts possible on her house therefore I was no longer entitled to the fee, nice. I complained to say that wasn’t fair on me and the price she had agreed bared no relevance to the referral fee, particularly as I was told the fee came out of a ‘Marketing Budget’. Fairview then used another excuse to say the ‘refer a friend’ offer supposedly expired in August. Just make sure you don’t get burnt by these greedy developers and get certain things in writing, after my mum and I spent over a million pounds between us I thought the £5k would get honoured. Their guilt became even more apparent after I said hello to the sales person involved, who is still on site working in the show home adjoined to my mums house and she outright ignored me, I found this highly unprofessional and very rude.
My mum has since moved onto her house and for three weeks she has been without a carbon monoxide monitor, it wasn’t working when she moved in and despite several attempts at contacting Fairview they haven’t been out to fix it. Had Fairview been a landlord they may have been fined £5k for such negligence. I think it’s disgusting how a new build developer would allow people to live in a house without a monitor given how dangerous it could be. She is also having a problem with the heating system, the two thermostats in the town house Fairview have designed are on the 1st floor (in the living room) and 2nd floor (in the bedroom), so in order to get the heating to kick on the ground floor you have to put the thermostat on almost 30 degrees, if you kept it at 23 degrees the radiators would never come on downstairs as the carpeted living room on 1st floor reaches 23 degrees very quickly. I consider this quite a large design flaw. My mum has been told to turn the radiators off in the living room? Seems like a cheap bodge job. She has windows that don’t open, her bedroom door doesn’t shut and the glass light in her hallway just fell down a couple of days ago as it wasn’t put up properly with raw plugs.
I have recently had info in the post regarding the management company they have appointed to look after the maintenance of the site which is RMG Ltd, if you Google them the reviews are horrific, so I would question why Fairview would choose such a company?
Please, if you buy a house/flat from Fairview just make sure that you go through everything with a fine tooth comb, the paper work, the quality, the snagging, the management company etc… get everything promised in writing otherwise you could find yourself thousands of pounds out of pocket, like both my Mum and I have.

Fairview Homes Bridal Way
I bought 3 bedroom house in new North Road bridal way Hainault. Paid over 425000. With in 1st year ceiling crack appeared. Fairway refused to repair it. It is still under warranty. Used very cheap stuff and low quality. My neighbour had top ceiling leaked as well.
Q&A
I am trying to purchase a property with Fair view. Everywhere in internet there are only negative reviews about their quality of home and services. Can anyone update us?
Just purchased a new build townhouse. But my daughter only has to walk into her room and the light in the room below (my living room) blow !!!
And it’s so loud when just moving around the home.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Many bad reviews on the site about Fair view homes. Any one has any good comments at all?
Has anyone complained about Fairview's carpets in their new flats? I.e. cheapest thinnest carpet stuck down without underlay?
