Child’s Toy In Car

After waiting 15 minutes in the car park at Gatwick for my car to arrive, I inspected the car and found there was a child’s toy in the back. Not having young children I asked the delivery driver how a child’s toy has got into the back of my car. He just said to email the office. I emailed the office to ask the question and complain about the 15 minute wait. Their reply was that they don’t know why a toy was in the back of my car and that as they are an offsite parking company a 15-20 minute wait is acceptable. Avoid them.

Unfortunately I Couldn’t Give Them Zero…

Unfortunately I couldn’t give them zero stars...

Left my RS6 with them last year at Gatwick, when returned the brakes were smoking hot, the radio retuned to Kiss and an empty tank of fuel. I was told to email complaints which I did - they completely ignored my email.

I gave them one last try this year thinking it was a one off. I expressed my concerns to the gentleman checking in my car.

I made sure I took photo evidence this year of Milage and fuel levels etc.

My car was reporting 110 miles to empty when I dropped the car off.

The car travelled a total of 16 miles whilst I was away - somehow it now only had 40 miles left in the tank.....

My RS6 had obviously been used for doing standing starts for thier lunchtime fun.

The manager on duty just said I needed to email complaints again same as last year and when I made him call the duty manager and he told me that he wouldn’t trust maple manor to look after a nice car and what did I expect!!

I was in the car park for around 40 minutes trying to deal with this and during this time I would estimate that around 50% of people collecting thier vehicles made a complaint.

Please people do not ever use this company they have no respect for other people’s property.

Absolutely disgusted by this company. Do not use them!

I booked a weeks parking with them in Gatwick in July 2018 the day before I was due to travel. At drop off the staff were unhelpful but I thought it was just staff being lazy and thought nothing more of it. I was given a ticket with my reference number on it and instructions to call a number when I got my baggage and then go to car park 5. Car park 5 is just outside the terminal.

I was travelling with a 1 year old and a 5 year old child and a 65 year old. 3 suitcases to add in to the mix. We returned from a 4 hour flight at 1.30am. We’re all exhausted and paid £100 to ensure we don’t have to walk to the long stay carpark and instead the car should be ready and waiting for us right outside the terminal. Well that didn’t happen at all!

We called the number and it was engaged. So we made our way to car Park 5. Found one man there and asked where my key and car is. He laughed. I asked him what was so funny and he said the cars not here. I wasn’t sure if he was joking or serious but I didn’t find it funny at all. Eventually he said, the company went under yesterday so everything’s changed. I have to go back into the terminal and call the number again and they will tell me where to go to get the car. Frustratingly I had to return to the terminal, with kids and luggage. The First Lady who answers the phone clearly couldn’t be bothered to explain what was going on and didn’t see the big deal in it all. She eventually hung up after reciting me directions and referring me to my ability to read the pick up instructions. I tried to explain to her that the written instructors say go to carpark 5! Anyway I had to walk 10 mins with kids and luggage to eventually get to the right place. There I see lots of staff hanging around but no one has my key or indeed my car. So I wait another 10 mins or so.

The car is returned and when I turn the engine on, the radio is on full blast which wakes the 1 year old up. Clearly they have had fun in my car. There is a scratch on the car. My car is a sep 2017 merc 4x wheel drive. I ask the staff to take a picture of the damage and they said we don’t need to do that. Not one apology or anything. I told them that the service was rubbish so they said email the office!

I would have been better off parking in long-stay for less money and it would have been faster than using this company. Horrendous service.

Was told by one member of staff that the company lost its licence to use Gatwick car parks yesterday but that they will have it back again in a week or so.

They didn’t email or message me about the change either.

Good Service

Booked a parking package with Courtyard by Marriott at Gatwick South. Check in at hotel and with Maple Manor desk at the hotel was simple and efficient. I knew the car would be taken offsite so wasn't concerned about the 19 miles put on the clock. On return, the Maple Manor desk was again efficient. I checked the car over and all appeared fine. This seemed a reasonable package at £168 for a night in the hotel and up to 15 days parking. There is a £3 shuttle from hotel to airport, but we walked as it was fine weather and only a 15 minute stroll.

Damaged Wheel

The 3rd time that I have used Maple Manor. The car looked ok when I picked it up but after getting home and washing the car to get all the dirt off there was a 3 inch scuff on the wheel rim. This was very annoying as the wheels had all been refurbished and sprayed black just 3 weeks previously.

Maple Manor need to be honest and admit / report any damage to the car rather than attempt to hide it. The car park is very narrow in Gatwick South terminal and I guess a lot of wheel rims will be damaged if sufficient care is not taken by the Maple Manor staff.

I've used Maple Manor many times in the past and have never had a problem Car was spotlessly clean when it went in and on collection noticed a large patch of mud on the back bumper only which was strange but put it down to weather and storage conditions. Cleaned the car the day after I got home and when the mud washed off there was a large dent/scrape in that particular spot. Rang Maple Manor to complain and they said my responsibility to check car before I left car park. I explained I'm not standing around in a car park late at night wiping mud off the car to check it. Their response was that it wasn't their problem and it could have been my fault on the way home. I asked for the photos they took when the car went in and came back but was told to email in. Will NEVER use again - facing a damage bill of just under £800.

Disappointing Experience

We used Maple Manor in conjunction with an offer at the Hilton at Gatwick.

We notified them we were about 20 minutes from Gatwick as advised. No one turned up so had to call them again - eventually turned up about 45 minutes after we arrived.

On arriving back at Gatwick there was a general lack of organisation. If we hadn't seen our car arriving I doubt we would have been told it was there - there appeared to be no system for notification. We approached the staff to get the car and struggled to find anyone who spoke English to sort this out.

Unlikely to use again.

Vehicle Damaged

Do not under any circumstances go near this company. I travelled from Gatwick in January 2018, my car had recently been serviced and passed its MOT. The vehicle was collected from the hotel and taken to secure parking. On my return driving out of the hotel heard a knocking noise from the front of the car so I pulled over to check, couldn’t see anything but it continued so I pulled over again and reported it to Gatwick Parking. Drove home at a steady pace and booked my car in for inspection. £169.00 later, a spring had snapped at the top, clean break, no corrosion! Parking and holiday extras refuse to take any responsibility and state machanical breakdown is not covertered as stated in terms and conditions. The probability is one of their drivers hacked my car over speed bumps or pot holes! I saw some of the drivers, didn’t look great! Never ever again will I leave my car anywhere to be driven by some animal!

Your complaint has been brought to my attention as my colleague has been away from the office.

Having contacted the manager at Maple Manor who is handling your claim he has clarified that regardless if it was reported prior to departure or not, they are not liable for mechanical breakdown or malfunction, which they consider a broken coil spring to be. This is clarified in the terms and conditions that you signed on check-in and whilst they do sympathise they do not deem that the phone call is relevant to the claim and there is nothing more constructive they can offer.

In view of the above, Maple Manor do not accept any liability for the given reasons and I am sorry that our intervention has not been of more help on this occasion.

Poor Security ,poor Driver - No Communication Company,

I had parking package included with Gatwick hotel for our holiday abroad this summer.

our brand new vehicle is fitted with a dash cam which captures all verbal communication, speed, gps location and visual

The driver of Maple Manor parking took our vehicle 21 miles away to an insecure yard where is stayed for most of the holiday.

the day before our return another driver took out our Cd and played the radio, he is seen leaving the insecure yard and stating that the song on the radio fleet foxes is for gay people and then changes his voice, he is seen deliberately going between lanes on numerous occasions causing the lane change monitor to go off and nearly breaking the heads up display on the dashboard

He is seen going through 2 sets of lights on red and speeding at 47mph in a 40mph zone,

The vehicle has a built in sat nav which also tells you if over the limit, the female voice states "You are over the limit" he replies"Shut the ( Swear word) up, No woman is telling me how to drive my car, you daft old bint"

Upon entering the secure yard he is heard saying "That's it all sitting around drinking tea, I'm back, everyone on the bus including him and other rubbish.

I have emailed maple manor complaints 3 times, but they wont reply so I've put the incident on you tube under the title maple manor parking.. 

not the worst driving in life from Other dashcam on you tube but lack of customer service,lack of professionalism, poor driving,poor attitude

Long, Long Waits Dropping Off And Picking Up

My husband lost the booking details and we didnt realise that we had to call 20 minutes prior to dropping the car off (at the Hilton hotel South terminal). When we arrived the operatives were very helpful and he rang the office immediately. From the time of his phone call to someone actually turning up to take the keys & car was 60 minutes. i appreciate that it was our fault that we had to wait 20 of those minutes but even so 40 minutes wait is not acceptable.

On our return we phoned once we had got our baggage and were told that there would be a delay of 10-15 minutes in getting our car back to us. We waited 40 minutes. Again unacceptable.

Frankly, we wasted our money. it would have been quicker and cheaper to park in long stay. i have another booking with maple manor parking which i will be cancelling - the whole point of valet parking is that you dont have all the waiting around.

Has anyone had their car involved in a crash while in the care of Maple Manor?

I have used Maple Manor for many years and have been happy. This year the car came back with scrapes on the bumper that I am fairly sure were not there before. I pointed them out and the guy delivering the car back said to take a picture and email it to an email address he gave me. I did so and the mail came back undelivered. The scrapes were relatively small and I am not 100% sure they did them, so in the end I gave up. Had there been more damage or I had been 100% sure I would have to have tried harder to get the matter sorted out.
