I Recently Attended A Gastro Evening At Soul Deli

I recently attended a gastro evening at Soul Deli with my wife and a friend. We all enjoyed the evening immensly and the fod was superb. I did feel disappointed however with the price of the drinks. A pint and a half of lager with one gin and tonic costing £10.

We were in the restaurant all evening and consumed several drinks with our meals and we were quite taken aback with the bar bill.

With this in mind we would think twice about returning to Soul as good as the food is.

I Would Recommend The Soul Delhi To Anybody. We Ha

I would recommend the Soul Delhi to anybody. We have already decided that we will return. At the moment there don't seem to be that many places you can go for really good food in Derby - this is the exception - it is a "must try".

Had Sunday Lunch At Soul Deli For The First Time Y

Had Sunday lunch at Soul Deli for the first time yesterday. Absolutely superb!! Will definitely eat here again. Probably the best Sunday lunch I have ever had.

The deli in Soul had a wide range of products to choose from and they seemed reasonably priced. I picked up a couple of things on my way out that you can't buy in supermarkets.

We Had A Great Night At The Soul Deli Restaurant I

We had a great night at the Soul Deli restaurant in Derby. Had a starter and main which cost around £15-£20 a head. I had roasted figs with goats cheese, then gnocchi with roasted veg - fantastic. I also tried the carpaccio beef starter which was a first for me, but it was delicious! The wine we ordered had run out, so the very friendly waiter offered us a more expensive bottle for the same price. To top it all - a man who had been eating at the restaurant had brought his guitar, and he gave us an impromptu performance - along with a bit of poetry! It's a small restaurant - maybe around ten tables. It sells a lot of locally sourced food. I plan to go again, and I will definitely try out the deli and cafe bar. I highly recommend it.
