Useless Call Centers
We have had Orange broadband for a while originally because the family has mobile phones with Orange we got a good deal. After we moved in I carefully fixed all the wiring out of the way. I then had to rip it up when the internet stopped. It took several phone calls to the foreign call centre where they just repeatedly went through their scripts even when told we had already done this. BT came out to check the line even though the phone line was ok and surprise BT told us the line was ok. Eventually we got through to someone who sorted it out, but we never knew what the issue was. A few weeks ago we had a new problem we either have internet or phone but not both at the same time, so if you want to use the phone we have to unplug the router and plug the phone in. We changed the filter (twice I had a spare lying around) and the cables so everything was pulled out again. The useless call centre told us it's the filter after we phoned them and the new filter made no difference. and they would send one out, surprise it never arrived. Another phone call same routine the filter arrived today we tried it with another cable hey same result. These call centres are just totally useless. We always try to avoid companies that use these foreign call centres for a good reason they are consistently useless. We are now going to leave after our experiences and looking for a provider with UK call centres.

Sadly These Reviews Are True
Had Orange phone and BB for 4 years - long out of contract now. Paying a high monthly tariff for not very reliable BB, low bandwidth and rubbish Netgear Router. Tried to cancel after the house was empty for 6 months (bereavement) and wanted £29 and 14days to do it, along with attempts to 'retain' me. No sense. I've already paid £200+ for a dormant account and they rub it in with termination Ts&Cs.

Worst Internet Ever.
Where to begin?
We have been stuck with orange for years as it is pretty much the only internet we can get in our area, it is utterly useless, the customer service is the worst i have ever dealt with in a company, i would never reccomend this to anyone.
We used to be able to say it was consistant at least in the at it was slow and was no where near promised speeds but it worked most of the time. This was when 3 people in my household used to use it. Now i am the only one who uses it and it is useless, up until 7 at night its slow and struggles with getting anything in had even with an hour to buffer, past 7 it cant be used for anything. ping will jump between 150-1500 in online games (ive tried many its not just some) and films can only be watched in the lowest quality where they are a blur.
Whatever network you go with make sure its not orange, waste of money, no help from customer service and im only using it because im stuck with it.

Awful Customer Service
After a week of intermittent connectivity, spent two lots of 20 minutes on the phone with "support". The first said they world reset the settings and to restart after 15 minutes. No fix.
The second waste of 20 mins on the phone was going to "force" settings through and sort it then call me.
Two hours later, error persists, no phone calls. Bunch of lies. Giving notice to leave.
The Worst Company I Have Ever Dealt With, By A Long Way.
Do not get involved with Orange or EE, not only is their customer service dreadful, no insulting would be a better word, the whole company ethos seems to be about lies, trickery and broken promises rather than providing a service worth paying for. They really are bad, save yourself a lot of trouble and go somewhere else.

Slow Connection, Poor Signal But Cheap
cheapest deal in my area, however connection and speed are nothing short of appalling.
When watching videos it keeps buffering particularly on BBC iplayer. Sometimes it lags at crucial moments such as when you are making online payments and you can't refresh the page.
Only up sides are the price and the fact that EE (Orange) report to the credit rating agencies, thus improving your credit.

Worse Than Useless
Do not even consider using EE for your broadband, there service is next to useless and the Indian call centre is appalling.
I changed from sky as EE offered the world and also stated there was no tie in, with sky i had no drop off issues at all, within 2 moths of being with EE i suddenly started to get constant connection drop off and now can only get download speeds of 0.24 mbps and upload speeds of 0.5 mbps. BT have confirmed my line connection and have assured me there is no line fault. Our area connection is only capable of supplying unto 4.5 mbps so never fast but what a shock to see such a fall off in connection speeds. Several calls, engineer visit and 4 weeks later still the same, SHOCKING DIRE SERVICE.
Next step is how to get out of this contract as i guess there will be a charge, not a bad way of making money is it if you charge somebody for a service you are incapable of supplying then charge them for the pleasure.
STAY AWAY IS ALL I SAY.
I cannot agree more. We have just come off the phone from their debt recovery department. We ditched them after 3 months, got our MAC code, paid the bill to settle the account but they still continued to charge us. Worst company I have ever dealt with for broadband and they appear not to understand the term customer service. 'We have not overcharged you but we can't tell you what money we have taken, you need to look at your account' We log in with details they provide and our account details only show a skeleton account, no bills or anything. Shockingly bad.

No Vpn - Thanks For Letting Me Know!
I bought this package as it was only going to cost me £2.50 a month and that I could remotely connect to my place of work. It turns out that the remote connectivity is not part of the package and it was definitely not mis-sold. You can have your £55 EE and keep your shoddy broadband and poor customer service. I'm off! I suppose you get what you pay for.
