Worst Experience Ever
The staff are polite when you are booking but don't be fooled. Once they have your money they are no help whatsoever. I heard them mocking me and making comments in the background when trying to cancel my holiday. They also over charged us £719 and would refund this. Id recommend going straight into a travel agent and missing out the middle man. It would have been cheaper and a far better service

Not Who They Say They Are
Booked a holiday through this company on the strength that they were part of the Co-op Travel, but it seems when you have a problem, all of sudden they don't belong, or they do belong, depending on what the problem is... my advice is to avoid them and go for an agency that has a better reputation. The holiday I booked with them I could have done myself as it wasn't a package in the end, it was just flights+transfers+accommodation all tacked together ad hoc. Wouldn't recommend these at all.

Having Booked A Trip To Andorra With Freedom Direc
Having booked a trip to Andorra with Freedom Direct Holidays, and paid a healthy supplement for a superior room, which in reality didn't exist! I naturally lodged a complaint with FD. Suprise surprise, English customer service is again proved to be "the consumers problem" -3 phone calls, numerous e-mails- all ignored and now it appears FD have gone bust -my problem again it appears! Appaling customer service and had they not called in the administrators, I would never use them again anyway
In February 2009, I Booked And Paid For A Holiday
In February 2009, I booked and paid for a holiday through Freedom Direct for June. I suspected there was a problem then, but I had checked the ATOL and ABTA sites first. I paid by credit card despite the premium, but wanted the security against loss in case of problems. Also paid for the 'Supplier Failure Cover'. (Wasted more money there.)
I bought a 'Package' but it was not registered by FD.
Hays Travel informed me by Email, only the hotel had not been paid.
During a phone call, I was told if I wished to have the holiday, I'd have to pay again, not only for the hotel part, but transfer as well.
As FD was "Backed by Hays Travel" why were they not being monitored by internal audit that should have prevented the collapse.
Malpractice causes upset for many people, but will the perpetrators be punished? Or will that infringe their 'Human Rights'?
My holiday will not be the happy one it should have been, my spending money has been used to double pay for it.
Hays Travel where totally seperate to FD, only because John Hays himself bought out the company did Hays become involved at the time they where never backed by hays so there would have been no internal audit. Hays Travel tried there upmost so make sure as few people where affected as possible.

I Booked A Last Minute February Holiday For Myself
I booked a last minute February Holiday for myself and my girlfriend in
February after finding Freedom Direct Holidays Limited via google. We found a fantastic All Inclusive deal in a four star hotel in Gran Canaria. Before booking i did the usually googling to find out more about the company and hotel, and give or take a few bad reviews the majority were positive. So I booked the works with them - airport parking, flights and transfers. The site was easy to use and the booking process was simple, a few minutes later and i received emails confirming my booking and various elements.A few days later I contacted their customer services department to discuss my luggage allowance, as I'm a diver and wanted to take my gear with me. They were very helpful and I didn't incur any additional charges which was great! The holiday was great and went smoothly, the hotel met and exceeded expectations and Freedom's rating in my opinion.I have recommended them to friends and family and will be booking with them again in the future!

Booking Procedure Good - No Problems. Taxi Failed
Booking procedure good - no problems. Taxi failed to show at airport. Incorrect information given by operative in UK concerning canceling return taxi. Complaints department extremely unhelpful and have failed to answers the points raised. Good prices, booking system but dreadful complaints department. Two letters later I am still trying to get an answer from Freedom Direct Holidays.
Can you please contact our complaints dept. We would be more than happy to discuss your outstanding complaint. RegardsFreedom Direct

The Price Was Good, Discount Code Can Be Available
The price was good, discount code can be available. Excellent service, I was given the agents personal freephone number, he couldn't have been more helpful, I could contact him anytime if I had a query. The hotel voucher and receipts arrived almost immediately by email. I would definitely use them again, I had them very highly recommended to me and I am very satisfied with the service. Can't think of any bad points.
