Service Deteriorating Rapdily

They have a new wheeze now. Instead of sending new car insurance out as paper documents, they now send emails instead. Trouble is, I didn't receive the emails either.

They now don't insure Rovers and they purport to be classic car insurance specialists - really?

I have been with FJ for a good number of years and have been well satisfied, but, of late, their performance and service are deteriorating rapidly. Glad they can afford to peeve their customers off.

Waste Of Space! Rude And Couldn't Care Less!

I had been a customer of Footman James for over 20 years but was given a renewal price 3 TIMES what I'd been paying with them previously - I had a quote elsewhere double my usual but still a third cheaper than FJ: I phoned to query their quote explaining I'd been a long term customer and could they get closer to my other quote only to be rudley told to go elsewhere! I called to complain being told that I'd be called back, but no one ever did.

What A Shame

I have been with footman James for years, I have recommended all of my friends to them. The service over the past 18 or so months since they were taken over has deteriorated beyond belief.

The initial call is answered by the CEO who blabs on for ages, I have never come across such an me,me me behaviour from a CEO, I am sure he would have his photo on there as well if he could. The old staff are still great but they now outsource their claims to Albany assistance who clearly don't care and don't communicate with the footman James teams as you spend hours being passed from one person to another.

As a car and bike collector / enthusiast I am so sorry to see such a wonderful organisation being turned into a shambles.

I would In no way shape or form recommend taking a policy out with them

I hope the acquirers read these reviews and bring back the great old company you have ruined and please get your ceo's message off the call it is way to ego driven

Useless

I am 55 years old, been with them for a good few years, yet they say they are "unable to quote" on a 600cc Kawasaki any more... Why? I asked. "Computer says no" was about all I could get from them. I took away my classic bike policy from them last year because of pricing. My conclusion - don't bother, there are plenty of brokers who can help and at the right price.

Stay Away At All Costs!

i have been riding motorcycles for the past fifty YEARS, many of which i have been insured with footman james since the take over the phones are now manned by trained monkeys who can not answer any questions without putting you on HOLD,PLAYING you MUSIC,AND refering the question to ANOTHER, who does not have answers EITHER! this was a good company that has now been ruined by untrained staff take my advice and look elseware and avoid this OUTFIT. read the earlier reviews because they are all exactly on the mark

Do Not Go Near Them!!!!

I and my partner have been insured with Footman James for the past five years. We have five cars four classic and one modern under four years old on a classic car multi car policy. We have had two non fault claims in the past 3 years. The modern car is registered in my partners name ( we are a same s-- couple). Everything has been fine untill I bought my other half a car for his birthday in early September. I called to add the classic car onto the policy and gave all the information to this young woman. Isthe car registered in your name she asked??. No I said its in my partners name.

We are same s-- couple and we already have a car insured in his name on the current policy. Is he your civil parner?? No we are a couple living at the same address. Then we cannot insure you! But we have a policy with you

We only insure married and civil parners to drive on a muliticar policys and who have differnt names registered on the log book. But we have had to claims and there has never been a problem. Well it could be a problem in the future. Have a word with a suprvisor. Phone goes quite. No we are sure on that. We do not cover partners who are not married or civil parners in that way. But we both own the cars and the log book is the registered user not the owner. No we can not help you. What do we do when we come to renew?? Thats your problem. I thought you snotty cow.

Anyway we arranged insurance with RH through the RR owners club. Cut forward a few weeks and I have just come to tax a classic car. The Ugov site did not list the car as being insured. A check on the other cars saw the same result. They have cancelled our insurance with no notification of any sorts when they did this I have no clue. IT could have been up to eight weeks ago!! Please do not go near them really off hand arogant and basically go away as far as they are concerened. Also they send letters that never arrive. This has happened 4 times

I used this company for a number of years but never again, the service for the want of a better word is abismal, my last policy was renewed but no docs sent out? they rarely if ever answer emails, dont take notice of their misleading adverts its all smoke and mirrors...avoid at all costs

Too Big For Their Own Boots. Disinterested School

Too big for their own boots. Disinterested school leavers manning the customer service department. Premiums have risen since Aon takeover. Not the same as it used to be. I was a loyal customer for 5 years but the service and price are dismal. Avoid at all costs.

Try RH Specialist Insurance for your classics. Their policies are underwritten by Equity Red Star and you get exceptional customer service AND great value for money too! They were able to combine my classic cars and motorcycles onto one policy. I have a large collection of vehicles and am very happy with the service I have received from RH. Give them a go.
