If I Could Give Them 0 Stars I Would

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They claim to be a horse box insurance company but can't actually cover horse boxes. It's taken 6 months for them to find someone to repair my vehicle (which has limited damage). They've now had my lorry for 5 weeks sat on a forecourt not being sorted and they seem completely incompetent. I have spend well over 30 hours during the process on calls and emails with them. Would avoid like the plague.

Classic Car Insurance

Their appointed windscreen replacer is woefully slow (2 months so far even after they've received the windscreen) but on raising the matter with ERS they got some movement the same day, and offered me a goodwill payment for the delay, which I have accepted

Check Policy

Insured with Equity Red Star now trading as ERS for a classic car since 2002. Classic car was missing from 2017. Car was on private land with CCTV. Bodged up investigations by saying car was not there and didn't bother with CCTV. Got witnesses and the owner of the private land to confirm car was parked there. This excuse ended then they started using a garage clause that didn't make sense as I never said it was parked in a garage. Looked at all policies no mention of any garage clause. They created a new sham policy with garage clauses and made out I was a new customer and deleted all my customer history since 2002 including all the renewed policies that had no garage clause. Keep hold of your original policy and do not mix with future post they may backdate. Also, this new policy did not match the police crime report or the policy issued with a monthly payment plan. They have done more but this is the most serious thing they have done. Cannot believe an insurance company could act so dodgy!

Over 12 Months On And Still Unresolved. They Are R

over 12 months on and still unresolved. They are refusing to provide a name for their insured driver even though it is clear on the CCTV who was driving when I was hit. They are delaying in the hope this will go away. Rest-assured this wont go away ERS - I will be taking this further to the FCA and the media/ watchdog and every single social media platform to tell people what sort of company you are running if I need to. Be open and transparent and stop giving insurance companies a bad name. This will be escalated.

14 Weeks Of Incompetence

I had a no expense spared agreed valuation policy on a classic vehicle. Had an accident involving an animal on B road. Car had cosmetic damage and minor mechanical damage.

ERS spent four weeks faffing around not putting anything into action and not really sure of what was going every time I contacted them. After 20+ phone calls ERS finally sent out a "specialist" to assess the damage. He said we should just write the car off as it can't be worth more than "a few hundred quid" Despite being valued at £16,000 on the policy! He also stated that damaged suspension components don't need to be replaced if the car tracks up correctly?!?

It was then 5 weeks for this "specialist" to write his report that refused the originally agreed replacement of damaged bodyparts! The bodyshop then had to start email correspondents which involved a back and forth that lasted 3 weeks over the sake of £200 worth of parts. After another 2 weeks of phone calls to ERS they finally gave us the go ahead on the repairs!

14 weeks of phone calls and I can only imagine how much longer it would have been without the bodyshop pressing them on the matter as the car was taking up a bay on their premises. Shambles

Hit By A Stolen Car

We were hit by a stolen car whilst parked up in the middle of the night. ERS have inexplicably deemed it our fault!!!

Our broker argued for 2 days but they are refusing to budge as they claim they need to blame someone and as the driver ran away then they have to blame me!!!!!!

I was in bed asleep!!!!!!!

Ridiculous

Edit : ERS have contacted me this morning regarding this review and have reiterated that they are indeed blaming me for this incident even though I was in bed asleep.
