Rg125 Gamma 1987
I bought a 6 year old RG125 Gamma back in the early 90's and used it pass my bike test before the test rules changed. Mine was in the wide banded two tone blue with full fairing.
I used it to commute in all weathers and often at night in the pouring rain and it never let me down. Restricted to the UK 12 hp meant it wasn't quick but you could fend off following car drivers on twisty A & B roads with spirited riding.
Build quality was ok. Slight surface rusting to silver painted frame and top fairing support frame did occur but generally a solid little bike which handled fine in restricted form. I don't recall any braking issues. The RG was a stepping stone for my next machine; an RD350 YPVS F2 which was a massive leap but I recall my old RG with much fondness.
In summary a great looking learner machine in it's day but under powered in restricted form (weren't they all). Great fun and reliable and thoroughly recommended.
Unreal, Defies Physics!!!!!
My RG 125 Wolf was in a mates shed for 11 years, with 8k on the clock. It cost me £150, stands me at almost £1,200 now but wouldn't swap it for anything!!! The bike speaks for itself, and boy does it fkn talk!!!!! What's more it's derestricted so, even tho I'm 17 stone, it still wants more at 80 mph. The sounds and smell of the 2 stroke smoke make the biker buzz the next best thing to sex!!! Work hard, play hard, ride hard......

Suzuki Rg124f
I've bought my RG not so long ago(3 weeks), I love that bike, the looks, noise and performance are great and I've ridden many 2 stroke bikes during my youngster years and used to go motoX with my bikes, but i'm not much of a mechanic, never went too much into it although i'd love to know all bout it and be able to fix it.
So I've been all happy that i got this bike which was a bargain although had to buy some parts and the labour of course and was loving it round london taking me everywhere, suddenly yesterday half way my destination my bike has stalled on the road, :-( and that was just devastating so had to push it and lucky me i knew a garage nearby which i could push it there so still waiting for the result of the breakdown as i couldn't figure it out, fingers crossed that it wont be anything major as i'm intending on restoring it to its best, as it is a very iconic and fun bike (also very lasting) ...

Had a 1988 Suzuki RG 125 GAMMA since I was 17(now 27!), 10 years of blowing away hot hatches like lads in RS turbos and the like. Have stripped and re-built it only three times in the last ten years and she's never let me down.
Definatly more fun than any bike I've ever thrashed below 400cc.
Upsets little goons with noisey "modded" cars which simply consist of a large exhaust back-box and shiny wheels, watch them laugh as you pull up next to em' at the lights, see GREEN and scream off at 12 grand, leaving em in a juicey cloud of two-stroke fog!.......... Oh yes,.... they will squirm!
Fuel consumption high compared to more modern bikes in its class.
Maintenance expensive unless you are handy enough to DIY.
QUALITY parts becoming ever more hard to find.

I've had this Suzuki RG 125 bike for a year now the bike fits in anywhere and I've noticed people on the big cc bikes dont look and laugh like they at most young lads on 125's gets you noticed wherever you go mines an ex-racer and is very fast for a 125. Takes a lot of looking after but mainly because of the age of the bike. Mines an 89 model also hard to find spare parts

Wouldn't part with it for anything paid 300 and I'm easily competing with local aprillia rs's & cagiva mitos.
Reaches 90 easily and continues to 100 maybe an arrow exhaust will make it do more?
Suzuki RG 125 wolf 1993 I own recomend it all.
