Can’t Get My Money Back

Can’t get my money back! I ordered two cushion covers in the sale online (£48) on 4th September. Over a week later and no delivery, no email update. So I call the contact centre. I’m told the item is OUT OF STOCK! It’s sale so they won’t be getting anymore - so why the hell haven’t they informed me and processed a refund?? I request a refund on 12th Sept. I’m told it can take up to 5 working days for refund to go back on original card that I made purchase with. 5 working days later - no money. I call again and told refund is showing as processed, they will escalate to refund team. Next day, (6 working days later) still no refund and no comms from WC. I call again, left on hold for 10 minutes! Call handler comes back, apologises and says she doesn’t know what’s going on and will escalate it!!! Seriously what is going on with The White Company?? So many bad reviews about similar issues, taking weeks to deliver items and blaming warehouse changes. This was the excuse back in January aswell when I last bought something from them - exactly how long does it take to move warehouses? Or is this just the worse excuse in the lack of accountability play book. I really like their products but their customer service sucks! Never again! Congrats on losing yet another customer! Bravo! P.s I’m now escalating to trading standards.

No Answer On Their Customer Service Telephone For

No answer on their customer service telephone for 1 hour and 24 minutes so hung up. Online "live" chat took 32 minutes to answer and then met with a "jobsworth" who was completely useless and inefficient.

I had placed an order online and there was no option anywhere to change delivery address so it defaulted to my old address. They refused to change the address or cancel the order as it was too late and would be dispatched “immediately”.

After a wrestle with customer services a Manager finally "assured" me that they would deal with it and redirect to the correct address. FOUR days later it was despatched - to the wrong address, never to be seen again. Will never use this company again.

Waiting Over 7 Months For Refund On Shoddy Goods - No Luck!

Dreadful, worst ever buying experience. Not one item I have ever ordered has been good, clothes and bedding all shrink on 20 degree washes and customer service stinks! Non existent, Chrissie was bought this company by her husband and doesn't give a damn! She is clearly raking in the money and doesn't care about the shoddy goods that she sells. Stronly advise NEVER to buy from this company unless you want a lot of stress and grief.

Appalling Customer Service

Happy to sell products but appalling service from Head Office when something goes wrong. Took weeks to get a refund and numerous emails/phone calls.

Apparently the owner was bought the company by her husband and is just greedy. She doesn't care about customer service or feedback received and just rakes in the money from her third rate shoddy cheaply made goods!

Poor Service Let Down For Xmas Delivery

Items ordered on 15 December for Xmas (before there Xmas delivery cut off date) arrived today 5th January. Even though I cancelled the order when I realised that the items would not be delivered by Xmas. Very upset mum didn't get her present on the day. Despite loving their products I would not trust delivery service again.

Poor Customer Service

Delay after delay and when the goods arrived they are damaged, the customer service team do nothing to assist you. Constant emails and letters offerings discounts shows you the value of their product and services. Even weaken you email the MD it is not a real email address

I bought 2 Carlton dressing tables for my daughters, 20 and 15, in November 2013. The glass tops on both have smashed. My daughters are not heavy handed and look after their things and can't remember dropping anything.The White Company suggested I contact a local glazier. My order with The White Company was as large one, I bought other items of furniture too and I am disappointed with their response. Potential buyers be warned that the glass on these items is not toughened.

Poor Customer Service

The White Company is all flash marketing and interior with little substance and poor quality. Have visited several shops in the South in january and sadly the customer service is terrible. Lack of knowledge of the products, lack of knowledge of the promotional offers and overall the staff was ignorant and shallow, Winchester especially.

Products not to a good quality / last a coupl of years / paid £900 plus / was offered £50... One very unhappy customer!

Purchased equilavant from primary for £35 perfect condition and the quality is far superior

Having ordered goods online (and no doubt this would also apply if orderd over the 'phone):

(a) on two occasions they company failed to send me the invoice;

(b) on the last occasion, having had to ask three times, an invoice was sent in an unstamped envelope which cost me £1.36 to collect from the post office; and

(c) for whatever reason the company decided they should send an email confirmation to an email address I hadn't used for 18 months and which I had removed from my customer information.

When I asked them to reimburse me that £1.36, I was told they couldn't send me a cheque. I could either have a voucher (yeah, like I'd shop there again) or call customer services and they would arrange to credit my credit card (how stupid is that). All in all, the company appears to have become a bit of mess.

I Ordered A Few Items From Their Carlton Glass Fur

I ordered a few items from their Carlton Glass furniture range after seeing the furniture in a magazine. The items were delivered a few weeks later than the anticipated lead time. During this period I had zero communication from The White Company at all. When I would ring and try to arrange the delivery, or at least chase the delivery, I was transferred usually to about 5 different people.

When the items were finally delivered, I could not believe the shocking quality of the furniture I had just paid for. There were small chips and scuffs all along the edge of the dressing table and the items smelled very chemical, I had to have my window open in the bedroom all day to release the fumes. The panes of glass looked as though they had been glued to the main frame and the glue was seeping out between the panes. Not what I have expected from a high end retailer, who shouts about quality!! It seems the most important thing to The White Company is good marketing, get the money from the customer and run.

Needless to say, they are not responding to my complaints. Perhaps Chrissie Rucker will pick this one up?
