Samsung LE32R74BDX

Got this for my bedroom as a present off my kids for christmas. Really happy with it so far, much better image quality than my old one and also the sound is really crisp. Great to watch a DVD on before bed so I'm really happy. Im sure there are more expensive televisions out there but this one does the job perfectly for me.

We got this tv in the january sale at a very good price, we are delighted with the product great sound and picture quality, we are lucky to have waited till january as we made a big saving.

I was persuaded to buy a samsung tv and dvd by a very plausible salesman at Currys and although they were hugely expensive, I did so because I assumed they would work well together. For the sake of your sanity, do not go near these products unless you're a tv engineer or have a phd in electronics!!!!! The instructions are unintelligible, tell you everything except what you really need to know, and after a month of trying to get them to work, I defy any normal person to set them up so that they operate together. Shame really cos the sound and picture quality are pretty good, but the dvd can only be used to play pre-recorded dvds and it is not possible to record programmes. Oh, and don't be fooled by the "Anynet" rubbish either - they do NOT work together! This was a dreadful waste of money and I truly wish that I had never purchased a samsung product.

I bought this TV a few months ago now. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I tend to only go for Samsung and Sony products anyway due to good previous experiences with them. The picture is great, no issues with that, the sound isn't so great, however I use a surround sound system. It is easy to use and setup, and looks great on the wall. By far the best looking flat screen TV's out there.

363 days old 42" tv and the screen has blacked out yet still sound. Samsung and Amazon abdicate responsibility so beware - I wouldn't buy Samsung again.

I bought my samsung two years ago and up to last week was deligthed with it but then it just refused to power on.I googled this problem and it seems this fault is very common.Samsung are denying that there is a fault and when i rang them they told me it was not their problem as my lcd is out of warranty.Well i wont be buying be buying one of their products again if thats their attitude.

I Bought the samsung LE32R74BDX in june 06, Its been up on a wall mounted bracket and very well looked after. We have been very pleased with its performance untill now, when all of a sudden it DIED for no apparent reason. Personally you dont pay £850 for a TV that dies that soon, i have had £80 Tv's in the past that have lasted longer and are probably still going. Therefore I RECOMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TV. Samsung after sales are about as much use as a chocolate kettle...

Bought a Samsung LE32R74BDX set 3 years ago. Very impressed with its style and picture quality. Looked forward to enjoyable viewing.

Unahappy after 3 years to find out that when i had HD installe dit won't work with any Sky HD box. The Samsung LE32R74BDX is HD ready but will not work with any SKHD + box. Had this confirmed to me by Sky and Samsung. So if you want HD tv don't buy this.

i purcased my samsung LE32R74BDX TV together with a DVD recorder model R136/XE on the 02/04/07 about six weeks later the dvd recorder developed a fault,comet sent an engineer out,he orderd a new part (circuit board) returned two weeks later and fitted the part,everything has been fine until december 2008,i then noticed a black shadow on the inside of the screen,the arial people said it was not the arial,the shadow has got worse over the past month.I contacted Comet today 20/04/09,they were not interested and told me to contact Samsung who advised me to get a quote for repair ,the company told me the quote will be £115.00 and is non refundable,Samsung will not give the ok for repair until they know what the fault is and how much the repair will cost,thats what they call "after sales service.",
