All i can see is that Goldtrail are a bunch of theiving B******s. My partner and I booked a cheap last minute deal on the 15th of July at 5pm, by the 16th of July they announced that had gone bust. Surely somebody would have known that the company was about to go bust! And yet they still happy took our money. Unfortunately those responsible have disapeared and suffered no consequence. Claims are taking an unexceptable time to be returned and no timescales are now being offered, despite the initial time scale of six weeks.

i booked a week in zante for 25th july for myself, husband and 3 yr old grandson with co-oprative travel a good company i thought but no they then booked us onto goldrail.it took 5 days for them to contact me and then that was to just try and sell me another holiday at a cost of another £1200.00.As far as i am concerned my the money taken from my bank account was paid to co-op so they are responsible i never even heard of goldtrail,co-op do not want to know and say its not down to them and will send out a claim form for the CAA.

Well it came as no shock to travel agencies all over the UK so why didn't the CAA see anything untoward.

How can any company give 14 day holidays to all inclusive hotels (even though they were rubbish places they still have to pay bills) for £150 pp in May for 14 nights and make money.

This was a company that was going under big time but still no one stepped in to stop them taking the publics money just hours and probably minutes before it went bust.

No doubt the fat cats are on their yacht getting ready to open the new cheap holiday company that will spring up in the next few months.

Besides the poor people not getting a holiday this year now what about the hotel owners in Turkey and Greece who had probably not been paid for last years guests so they too will probably now go to the wall.

As said in another review you get what you pay for.

they sold me a flight that did not exist and 2 weeks before the holiday moved us to an earlier flight.i spent 48 minutes on the phone trying to find out what had happened. i reported it to trading standards, but off course goldtrail have gone bust .i booked through airflights who passed it on. i think airflights should check what they are selling.there will be people going on holiday unaware that their booking has been made with goldtrail.i feel really sorry for these people.

Look folks...its the old adage proving true. You pay peanuts you get Monkeys. Goldtrail used cheap accommodation in their chosen resorts and put very little into any form of customer service. To even book with them in the first place was bordering on niave. There is a very good reason the likes to Thomsons and Thomas Cook are strong brands.....they invest and grow their businesses and do not run them like a cornershop.

Best of luck to those of you claiming refunds etc. They will come through eventually but please dont expect anything soon.

Booked to go to Turkey in October. Goldtrail gone bust. Still unable to get in touch with anyone. At the moment I am fifty one on the phone, being trying since sat.Can not afford to booked another holiday it has taken us all year to save for this.

me (24) and my mum (55) and friend (40) was supposed to be going to Turkey on the 5th Sept, Idas and Metropol, Icmeler. On Sat morning, we was listenin to radio and we were singing 'we will we will rock you by queen' and had a really a good day and after that we heard this BREAKING NEWS GOLDTRAIL HAS GONE BUST and i fought nnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooo way, we finkin we need the money back as we have spent the money on Goldtrail. GOLDTRAIL YOU GOT TO GIVE US THE MONEY BACK NOW!! We was absolutely gutted about Goldtrail bankrupt but we have book another holiday via Thomas cook to Turkey (Pineta Club Hotel) Marmaris. and we are so looking forward to this one and it on the Sat 4th Sept

I have booked a holiday that i have saved all year for. im only 19 and on a minimum wage income. i was meant to fly out in 2 days time, with mu case packed and all ready to go i was told goldtrail are now bank rupt!! if i do not get a full refund within the next week or so. im suing for the mental stress ive had to endure. never mind the inconvenience.
