Bad Company, Avoid

I bought an arctic spa x-display model, with 1 years parts and labour warranty in the UK, 3.5 months afterwards it developed a fault with the shell peeling away.

They refused to honour the warranty and stated it the shell was damaged before they dispatched it and therefore excluded it from any warranty.

I have had to constantly chase them, they do not respond to emails, they are not interested in customer service at all.

They are now trying to worm out of the warranty and the sale of the spa, I would tell anyone wanting to buy an arctic spa, go elsewhere, other spa companies have much better after sales service.

Do Not Buy From Arctic Spas

Purchased new Arctic Spa Kodiak tub in spring of 2016 at Edmonton Boat & Sportsman show. Was sold on being able to monitor tub from my phone remotely, adjust temperature, etc. through their "Spa boy" wireless program. Tub was delivered and hooked up in April and not a month goes by that I don't have issues. When a service person comes out the issue is always "my fault" somehow. How the tub not working, their spa boy not being able to connect to wifi when router is literally 10 feet way and so on is my fault as the consumer I do not know. In 8 months I have literally had over 12 service calls and still having same issues. Anyone want to buy a used hot tub?

Do Not Make The Mistake We Did! Arctic Spa Ocean Series

Do not buy from Arctic Spa. I wish I had seen the negative reviews before we dropped almost 30,000 for the Ocean series. It hasn't even been a month and it has been a terrible experience. I wish I could return it. It arrived damaged, poor workmanship. We paid extra for spa boy but the tub will not stay connected to the network (either through cloud or wifi). Today I had my family from out of town want to get in and I see that it isn't holding its temperature. It is set at 101 but continues to drop. I hope that future hot tub purchasers read this review before getting the wool pulled over their eyes by the salesman. I see that this is just the beginning of our problems at it seems Arctic Spa has poor customer service and product.

What I don't understand is that they have so many unhappy customers yet they don't seem to care?

Arctic Spa Swim Spa

We bought the Hudson Swim Spa from Arctic Spa in the West End Edmonton a few months ago and love it! Besides relaxation and fun, it has given us amazing family time where we are enjoying the water, the lights, jets, waterfall and most of all just talking to each other while in it. We have even extended our deck around it and are now building an enclosure over it so that we can enjoy it all winter without having to shovel snow constantly to open it. That being said, the insulated cover is quite amazing for keeping the heat in and everything else out. The lifters on the cover make it very easy to open. We have the salt water Onzen system and so far it really does most of the work. The App is amazing as I can check on the spa while away on vacation and can turn the temperature back up so that it is nice and warm by the time we are back home. It is our little piece of Heaven that we get to share with family and friends!

I Have A Coyote Santa Fe (built By Arctic Spa's Us

I have a Coyote Santa Fe (built by Arctic Spa's US division), which was delivered to us just under a year ago (October 2014). Within the first few months, we noticed we had lost an inch of water, and that some of our under water perimeter lights had cracked. We had a repair person replace those, but noticed more water loss as the months wore on. Eventually, we had to replace all the perimeter lights, as well as two cup holder lights. The last repair person who serviced the tub noticed the wooden frame inside the tub had cracked right through the boards, and that one of the support structures under the control panel was sagging. Our dealer submitted a warranty claim, and Arctic advised us that due to an issue with the wood used at the factory, we would be getting a new tub.

Great news... until we were told that there would be an additional fee for 'upgraded' parts of over $2000.

I just got off the phone with the dealer today (october 26, 2015), and from the list he gave me, nothing is changing, except the new tub will have fewer perimeter lights. We're getting the same stereo (the new ones have blue tooth, which we won't be getting), the Eco Pack is the same, etc etc. I can only assume that because we got a deal on the first tub, Arctic is trying to recoup some of that money by charging us more for a replacement tub. Even though it is a factory defect that put us in this mess in the first place.

I called the Arctic warranty department - which left me in tears. The whole thing has been a nightmare, and I truly wish I had never purchased from Arctic Spa.

What A Horrible Experience And Mistake

I just purchased my arctic spa Glacier XL, it's one month and a day old today, because it is Canadian made and made for our cold climate and lifetime warranty on base and shell. I thought I did well. I bought it for therapeutic massage as I have a torn rotator cuff and five torn tendons and it has helped me to get through each day. Unfortunately it has leaked from day one. The repair guy came once to fix it, a week after the appt.date, already a problem because of distance. He didn't fix it well and still leaks, not as badly though. Instead of coming back to fix it I was told they would but at my expense, warranty doesn't cover the spa leaking? The owner of the store and the sales person have been intimidating, prejudiced because they would never have spoken/yelled at me if I had been a man, the owner kept raising his voice Don't Talk Over Me, go and leave crying and whining and more. But this simple leak has turned into a catastrophe and I hate everything about my spa now. I was asked how long did it take to leak out half inch of water?(it leaked out that much since repairman was there to "fix" it) where is it leaking? (I'm not the repairman), that moisture on the lid when opened will make the cement wet, evaporation etc etc.Really? Rude and ignorant is the least horror of this store's personnel and considering I paid $14,000 for my spa. Common courtesy, consideration? not at this store. It's bad people taking advantage of seniors. I purchased it from a store in London and I live in Windsor and prior to buying spa they told me "no worries" and now it's "You expect us to send someone and waste 5 hrs going to and back from.

Don't Buy An Artic!!

I bought an Artic hot tub years ago and I have nothing but problems. So far, the mother board has gone bad three, 3 times. The heater has been replaced twice and now my motor has just went out. Not to mention all the jets just float around the tub because they won't stay in their holes anymore. So, at this point I have an $8000 piece of plastic that the company won't help or take any responsibility for selling me a brand new pile of junk. The ONLY good thing about an Artic spa is not to own one!

Date Purchased: 06/2008

Price Paid: $8000

Recommend: No

Pros:

It doesn't inflate my electric bill anymore because it's unplugged!!

Cons:

EVERYTHING!! From the quality of the product to customer service. It's all just a bad deal and a waist of your money!

No Such Thing As Warranty

after buying a coyoto hot tub 8 years ago was wel pleased .good service from my dealer who have become friends but when the shell started to bubble i told my dealer whom reported the problem to coyoto .they in return said tough . i phoned coyoto and was told in was not theyer problem my dealer has since changed dealership and is now selling a better brand of tubs .the hot tubs are ok but like so many companys when sold the warranty is on theyer side not yours .

The shell surface only has a 7 year warranty unfortunately, however as an Arctic spas dealer I do know for a fact that if you had contacted them within that warranty period they would have exchanged it without an issue. These are often repairable and there are specialist companies that will do this for you contact The Plastic Surgeon. Whilst I appreciate that your local dealer sell another brand now he should have known the warranty terms. I suspect he probably wants you to trade in but the fix will be a lot cheaper and you will still have a fantastic spa.

Not Bad Product But Non Existent Customer Service

We bought our hot tub 3 years ago. We don't use it a lot, but do love it when we do.

The tub itself has been ok with only some minor issues along the way.

The customer service is a joke. They could make a hilarious movie "real life" style by just placing cameras in their offices. Even the absurd characters seem to be already employed by this company.

I won't recount my experiences with them as you would think I was making them up.

It is a shame because their products are generally good, but dealing with them is very painful.

I have now found an independent hot tub maintenance man who sorts out whatever issues we get with our hot tub. He also buys from Artic spas any parts needed so that I don't have to deal with them any more. The maintenance man shares my appalling view of them and I feel quite guilty to have pushed this on to him.....but not having to deal with the Artic people is worth a truckload of guilt!!!
