SeaBrights Barn, Great Baddow

Money grabbers mate, typical corporate chain. Cringey try hard fake attitude from the staff, mainly the managers.

I love sea brights barn i used to go there when i was little i love it

We went out for dinner of a party of 6, we all had the carvery and we were all very disappointed! The gravy was very salty, the stuffing balls were chalky, beef was tough, and the peas and carrots were frozen!

The service was good, but the manager is very rude and arrogant.

Compared to the toby carvery its awful and we shall not be returning!

I visited Seabrights Barn on Sunday as one of my in-laws had organised a family meal there.

The barn itself was lovely, had lots of olde-worlde charm!

We were greeted by rather busy but none-the-less cheerful and polite bar staff. They made our drinks quickly and efficiently and chatted to us like we were regulars. We felt very welcome and looked after. The young lady informed us there were childrens entertainers in the next room (free of charge too!) and even took our hot drinks over to us, a very nice touch especially as we hadn't even asked.

There was a short wait for our table but we didn't mind as it's the weekend before christmas so we expected it to be very busy, and besides, the kids were enjoying themselves!

Once in the restaurant, we were shown to our table and told we could go up to the carvery in our own time. It was great not having to wait for our food to come out. The chef doing the carving was also friendly, and the array of veg on offer was much better than Seabrights competitors. The food was very tasty and there was so much of it!

Our waiter was very busy but still made an effort to keep an eye on us. He came over to ask if our meals were ok, then checked we were all ok for drinks, and cleared our plates swiftly.

After our meals the kids went back to play in the garden room as they had enjoyed meeting the entertainers so much. By the time we left, they had there faces painted and their own balloon animals.

Overall, we were very impressed. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Only drawback was that the drinks were very expensive, but we feel it was well worth the money because of the gernerous portions, friendly atmosphere and the childrens entertainment provided.

we had eaten at Seabrights in the past,so for our 40th Wedding Anniversary,we decided we would go there and have a meal with the Daughter and her Family,Big mistake.

The quality of the food was very poor,the girl behind the bar was very polite and friendly,we ordered five meals in total,the ceaser salad came out way before anything else,the rest of us waited for ages,then a young lad appeared with a plate of food which was nothing to do with us,eventually when the food did arrive,out came another ceaser salad,which we had already had about an hour earlier,so presumably the one that was brought to our table earlier,should have gone to someone else,when we got our food,it was cold the Burgers were rock hard.

Drinks are expensive,most of the food was left on the plates,we then went and got some desserts,three times i told the waitress i didn,t want custard,(can,t stand the stuff,)with my pineapple upside down pudding,said i would have ice cream,and when it arrived,it was swimming in custard,so it went back.

All in all a very Dissapointing meal,lots of Money wasted,would i reccommend this place to anyone,NO.

THE ONLY GOOD THING I HAVE TO SAY IS ,THE YOUNG COUPLE WHO WERE KEEPING THE KIDS OCCUPIED WITH bALLOONS AND fACE PAINTING,WERE EXCELLENT,

VERY FRIENDLY AND HAPPY.

Will we be returning NO

Definately needs a revamp

Very dissapointed! Went tonight for the first time after being recommended by a friend. It was my Husband's birthday and we were treating family to a meal. Only two other tables were occupied and they left half way through our meal, no atmosphere. The waiting staff were obviously waiting for us to leave so they could go home. We felt the food was poor value for money, the beef was tough & veg hard. Tiny portion of ice cream. Drinks expensive. Will not be going back.

At SeaBrights Barn, Great Baddow, the service is slow and table not ready on arrival although booked the day before. All 8 of us had the carvery and all agreed it was appalling. Meat (beef) was bitty and not generous in quantity. Although there was a vast selection of vegetables 90% were clearly microwaved and therefore had no salt or taste - brussels in particular were poor. £9 for the carvery is too much bearing in mind the awful quality of the food.

Great roast 10 veg 3 meats and all the extra trimmings you dont normally recieve in a carvery and every sauce you can have. very good value for money

I would highly reccomend seabrights to everyone and i visit as often as I can

We visit Seabrights quite regularly and have always received great service and great food. Roast potatoes not fantastic but meat and veg all good quality. Service ok, but for that sort of place you don't expect silver service! Would definitely recommend!

Overall a nice place to eat, would recommend to friends.
